I know Scott would never cop to them, but let's have a little sympathy for our neighbor and former champion QB.

1. Covid is tough on everybody's profession.
2. His father passed away this year.
3. His Mom is now living without Husband. Tough gal, but not that tough.
4. New Offensive assistant on staff.
5. Personnel still not at the level he needs.
6. QB is not Milton or Mariota.
7. Competition is better than he faced anywhere else.
8. Start season w/ 2 away games at most likely the East and West champions.
9. Home game cancelled.

Any others?

I’m not calling for Frost to get fired but I am fed up seeing the same piss poor play calling and his loyalty to some of the upper classmen who are the ones f’ing things up. His stubbornness mirrors that of Callahan’s. We all know where that pride left Bill at.

Yeah, it sucks watching this. Championship programs are not built in 1-3 years. Let's give the guy 5-6 and see where we're at.

You are right about some of the upper class men. I’m sure they are some great guys and great leaders, but guys like Reimer, Fleming, Betts, need to be on the field all the time.

Anytime I see a good play it comes from one of the young guys. When I see a ****** throw, holding, targeting, missed assignments, it comes from an experienced player. Btw, Cam Taylor has to be the most overrated player in our modern day history. The guy looks the part but offers no true value to our team. Farmer was balling and here comes the two experienced buffoons at safety. Never heard from Farmer again.

It’s funny people always bitched about T.O.‘s play calling too, we all saw what a joke he was. T.O. never had to inherit a **** show either. Young guys today showed Frost is getting talent in the stables. I do agree that it’s time to let the ponies run more though. If we are gonna lose do it with youth and build for the future. Not playing the Wisconsin game was way bigger than a lot of people think. Northwestern had a BIG advantage having two games under their belts. Nebraska was almost basically starting the season over.

"5 or 6 Years"????? So you are saying he has a pass for 5 or 6 years to start performing? Great gig if you can find it I guess. In what profession where your salary is a guaranteed $5 Million per year will you have 5 to 6 years to start deserving that salary? That is simply ludicrous.

No one is saying Nebraska should be at championship quality yet. Most Nebraska fans would happy with just a win at this point. The problem is that instead of getting better, the offense is getting remarkably worse...sloppier....more undisciplined.....and I hate to tell you but he has "his guys" now. There should be some improvement and there is not.

This 6-7 year rebuilding thing? Did we get the death penalty in 2017 and I'm missing something? You are right. It shouldn't take that long and here we are in year three looking like year one and two, if not worse.

Everybody is dealing with the same ****, yet I've seen plenty of good football this year. Why is it that our team is the only one who gets so affected by outside noise?

13. He had to take a 160k pay cut. I mean if I had to take a 160k pay cut I would have to pay 100k to work. So what do we expect?

14. Gotta get rid of Riley’s players

15. Kevin Warren is making us play 0-3 Penn State next week.

You're a fan which is short for fanatic....

...or have you coached major college football?....or been an Athletic Director at a place of higher leaning?

In regards to CTB I almost posted the same thing. He seems like a great young man but I've never really seen he's anything special on the football field. Let the young guys play.

CTB will be at NU for three more seasons if he stays. He looks phenomenal as far as looking like a football player. But he seems to be very undisciplined, always out of position and gets really stupid penalties.

I think you are a little aggressive. Scott needs to rotate through the first four years of recruits who had direct contact with Riley recruits. The next round of recruits will not have had any direct contact with Riley recruits, but would still have had contact with recruits who had direct contact with Riley recruits. Therefore, by the third full rotation in about year 12 or so, the team should be distanced far enough from the Riley influence. At this point, we should expect to see progress each year, where by year 16, they should be contending for a division title, then the future will start to look bright for a chance to compete in a conference championship.

...and his guys are as young as ****
Every other team in the country is full of new young guys that manage to perform and contribute...some of them to a great extent. also.....Martinez is a Junior...the linemen are all Soph (jurgens) and up.....Running backs are young. Defence is the same...except Ty Robinson they are all pretty much Soph and up.

So we are suppose to give "his guys" the same leaway that he gets and not expect anything until they are seniors?

Nope. I have NO doubt but that Chip is actively TRYING to get fired again. It's his last big buyout deal.

Chip has always been a weird dude. I think he was happiest when he was the boy wonder at New Hampshire and didn’t have to deal with anyone. Well he has made himself into a rich, weird dude. (My old boss’s grandson was a starter for the Ducks the last two years under Mike Belotti when Chip came in as the OC. The grandson told me when he walked by Chip in a hallway Chip would look down at the floor and not make eye contact or say anything. He also says Chip went out of his way to make Belotti’s players feel they were no longer part of the team after their playing days were over. Does anyone know how Scott treats old plater who played under old coaches before he got to Nebraska?)

Not arguing on Martinez... he’s had a chance to prove himself. A lot of these other “sophomores” are first time starters, how does that not make them young? They are going against guys that have been in their programs for 4 to 6 years. When you have an established program, you better hope some of your freshmen studs contribute right away, when they are sprinkled in with established, proven veterans. That’s were we are deficient right now, having veterans you can depend on when **** gets hairy.

I agree he should get to six years but am just tired of the talk without the walk. I’m really disappointed in the Offense this year. Stupid penalties and turnovers still in year 3.

The Defense has really stepped up this year. Played well against Ohio State and definitely played well enough for us to win against Northwestern.

I am not ready to fire the guy but like many I am very disappointed. I think we have all been making excuses for the lack of improvement for too long. What I am sick of is the Frostie spin. We are not turning the corner, the same lack of discipline game in game out. Zero in game adjustments. I don't know what the answer is, but I am not getting paid 5 million to figure it out. Give him 5 years with improvement coming each year and if we are not a 9 or 10 win team year 5 ask him to leave. Period.

Agreed..
Tired of hearing how close we’re getting and not seeing it in games, especially illegal procedure penalty’s with no fans in year 3..

He has already made one coaching staff move he may need to make more after this season...

if he stays? where would he go?

never too late to start his career in whatever non-football pursuit he's planning for. it's laugh out loud funny some think he's an NFL talent.
