... not taking into account how good WE were as an opponent... who’s the best team you’ve ever seen Nebraska face IN PERSON????

mom going with the 78 Sooners... how we won that game I’ll never know....

That would probably be my vote as well. Tore my big toenail off the night before that game. I wore a buddy's pair of 3 sizes too big Addidas "track flats" to that game. I just was about 15 rows up on the 40 yard line in East Stadium. I got pushed all of the way out on to the field by the surge of fans rushing the field. Hopped over the railing to keep from getting squished.

for me fall is harvest season so I wasn’t able to see many games in person, with that being said I’ll go with the 1999 kst game in Lincoln. I would have loved to go the the 1978 ou game but couldn’t get tickets

2001 Miami in the Rose Bowl

In hoops, Mario Chalmers-led KU team that beat Melo’s Syracuse team for the title comes to mind. Saw a lot of great individuals, too (KD, Harden, Blake Griffin, Mike Beasley, etc.)

you must have been highly intoxicated if you think you saw KU and Chalmers beat Carmelo Anthony and Syracuse to win a national title

that KU team that won the national title never played Syracuse

Miami was absolutely loaded that year. Crouch tried to make it look respectable in the 2nd half. Oh well. The parade was great and we had fun out there otherwise.

Yea, you’re right. The Chalmers team that beat D Rose’s Memphis in the title game was the one I was referring to.

everyone feel free to **** on me for my mistake.

PROBABLY????😂
The weird thing was the one that ‘wasn’t’ a fumble...the crush on Phelps...

that was viscous

1:30 mark

I remember the joy of finally beating them and then the angst when learning of having to play them again in the Orange Bowl knowing they were the better team and weren’t likely to fumble 9 times again

Since it is an oddball topic I want to ask if anyone is still hunting pheasants back in Nebraska? I use to go back every fall until about 2005 and hunting just got so bad it wasn’t worth it. One of my best days ever was in 1995 in a field near Laurel. The birds were actually flaying in a large flocks, circling around and coming back into the same field. It was amazing. I am looking at a picture taken that day. I am with my two long gone Brittanies and a few friends in front of a SUV with the hood covered with birds.

Reason why I ask is because my Llewellen Setter and I are going hunting in the morning for pheasants. Here valley quail and chukar (you have to be a mountain goat to hunt them) are more plentiful, but I still like to get the few roosters I get every year.

91 Washington is the first one that comes to mind, but 98 Texas stands out to me just because of Ricky Williams. Not the best team, but that was probably the best performance I've seen.

91 Udub had a lot of talent that year. Unfortunately I was at that game.
