O'Brien had to be the quietest in season fire ever....I didn't know till 2 min ago., but I also didn't watch MNF last night even though my Chiefs were on so that probably explains a lot.

My best guess for the next move is Atlanta. I think the Jets are playing the Trevor Lawrence lottery so they hold onto their guy for a bit longer.

Gotta be Dan Quinn or Adam Gase.
McCarthy will keep his job for a while.

Looking at some of the other gambles teams are willing to take, someone has to make a play for Lincoln Riley at some point. The NFL seems to be going the way of the Big 12. Or at least that's the current fad.

Shows there is not much depth in the pro ranks. I think the same could be said of the college system as well. You take a few from college and move them up to the league, what do you have left?

I thought Quinn was going to be something special in Atlanta. Haven't really followed them so don't know why they've hit the skids. Patricia definitely needs to go. He's so far ahead of his skis it's not even funny. Some guys were meant to be coordinators and that's it. Also, who really thought McCarthy was a good hire for Dallas? Jones & Company have no idea what they're doing when it comes to hiring a head coach.

Eric "the enemy" Bienemy will be a head coach very, very soon. He's earned it but that will hurt the Chiefs.

And I still think McCarthy is gone quickly. Jerry likes his name in the paper even more than he like winning.

Bienemy to Atlanta would be a great fit I think. He needs to stay far away from Detroit where there's never been a commitment to win.

All of the media talking heads smell blood in the water. They're really giving it to Dallas. That cannot make Jerry happy.

I know his title says offensive cord, but I'm pretty sure that's Reid's job and Eric's title is a little misleading. We'll see, but I think the reason he hasn't gotten a sniff as a H.C. yet is because other teams feel the same way, plus he has the best QB in the game now so he is pretty far down the pecking order for reasons on the Chiefs success and I doubt they miss a beat without him personally....at least I hope so cause they is my team :)

The greater plan there is Trevor Lawrence and Gase is just the guy to lead em there. Darnold ain't where it's at.. and if i'm Lawrence, I go back to college next year before I hop aboard that Titanic of a franchise.

It will be a gamble. It always is. I think Bienemy has a great mind for football that is overshadowed by Reid. He'll be looking for his Mahomes, and that dude just won't be there, unless he can land with the team that gets Trevor Lawrence. The Chiefs really are the ideal coaching destination. The ownership does not meddle, the fan support is great and the GM doesn't have the need to try and outshine the coach. Plus, coach Reid is incredibly low maintenance and humble. His body of work speaks for itself. He's a bit like coach Osborne. He saved the best for the tail end of his career.

A big factor in why the Chiefs and Broncos are headed in decidedly opposite directions.

Callahan has proven that he is a successful offensive coordinator and lines coach but leaves much to be desired being a Head NFL coach..
All he did was take the Raiders to the Super Bowl his first season. Then his starting center had a mental breakdown and didn't play in the Super Bowl. The next year his starting QB was injured most of the year and Charles Woodson led a player revolt. That wasn't anything new for Woodson. I think Callahan could be a very successful NFL head coach given the right QB and defensive coordinator.

I would say Gase, Matt Patricia, Dan Quinn are most likely
Other coaches who could be fired are Vic fangio, Joe judge, zac Taylor

I could see Reid step down end of season and turn KC over to Bienemy. Also, Bellicek in NE may walk away. Minnesota coach Zimmer could be in trouble if he misses playoffs.

I'm ready for Zimmer to go. He's taken the team as far as he can.

The Jets can play the lottery without Gase. That dude literally has no clue what he’s doing or where he’s at

Gase probably doesn’t know who Trevor Lawrence is and if he did get him, he’d probably get him killed while high on uppers

It's comical watching Patricia try to pull off the Belichick persona. He's high on the all time list of in-over-his-head doofus NFL coaches.

Hard to judge Patricia because of where he went, I know we have a Lion fan in this thread and I am not trying to be mean but that franchise is a poor mans Cleveland. Not quite as incompetent, but they reside in the same zip code. I hope for Lion fans they get it figured out, I have zero ill will towards them and they aren't in the AFC so I have no rooting interest one way or the other, but as far back as I can remember they just seem to find and slip every banana peel.

Just went and looked at the draft Stafford was taken in....wow that first round and beyond has to be an all time miss on the QB position. Sanchez, Freeman, Pat White, Stephen McGee, Rhett Bomar....that does it for the first 153 picks.

Detroit is historically bad, yes... but the two years before Patricia they were 9-7 and 9-7. Not great obviously, but they’ve really gone backwards since then.
