Big 10 only allowing 170 daily tests. Saying that schools cannot buy more for players and staff if they have more than 170 is a really an odd rule. To not try to Protect all walk-ones is either choosing money over health or only deciding to allow certain schools to protect all. It smells of either stupidity or giving a middle finger

That's absolutely criminal IMO not to allow as many tests as a school can muster. I suppose it's some kind of feeble attempt to ensure fairness across schools but it just smacks of not caring for people's lives. Whoever is responsible for that edict ought to be ashamed of themselves and fired.

Actually I wonder if it’s so as to not look like we (the B1G) are hoarding tests from the general public...

Frost says Nebraska does not have an answer yet if Nebraska will be allowed to provide additional tests. I believe the 170 is the number that the BIG will provide funding for.

There is absolutely no shortage of tests now. Companies have ramped up supplies and labs have ramped up testing capabilities. Most larger medical clinics are able to run tests within an hour in house now.

Cool. Then all that remains is to say, once again, the B1G sucks.

Thanks for clarifying the situation for me.

Makes absolutely no sense. B1G leadership at its finest.

Should be pretty easy to hammer them publicly for endangering players and staff. I would politely let them know in advance and then hammer the **** out of them.

I have been trying to figure out how large the staff is. They use to list all the grad asst coaches and the control analysts but now the only one listed is Rutledge. They didn't get rid of the support staff did they? I was really happy to get that guy from the Giants? (that coached with Dawson)

What I can determine is there are 11 full time coaches. There are 5 guys I think that are trainers/medical staff and there are 2 GA trainers so that's 18. I am guessing we have 3 grad asst coaches yet or do we have 4? That would push us to 22. Seems a little light to me.

I am thinking they will separate out the control analysts from the team so they don't have to count them? Do I need to include anyone else? That would leave us with a roster limit of 148 which would mean we have to bar 6 players? Is that right? I wonder how they came up with 170? What about ballboys, chain gang&marker people, police staff, ground keepers?

Nebraska has about 50 staff members that would need to be tested. That leaves 120 players that can be tested.
