OWH reporting on Lubick's interview on Sports Nightly but in the tidbit that Walters and Nebraska mutually parted ways with "Nebraska honoring the last year on Walters contract." Didn't realize we paid him to leave.

I believe most of those contracts were for 2 years. If Frost wanted to make a change, Walters had the leverage. Walters could have force them to fire him without cause and he would get the year paid, or he could resign and negotiate the remaining year to be paid.

No problem with that at all...If I had a contract I would want all my cash too.
When you've got the shoe use it. We'd all do the same.

It's a job. Get paid what you're owed and the maximum you can get. He has no loyalty to NU.

And I'd be shocked if his Bengals salary isn't mitigating the payment.
Don't be. The Bengals are the cheapest team in the NFL and have been for decades. That may be why they brought him in as an extra coach. Fischer gets to work in the NFL and the Bengals can pay him in old Bengals gear and free Papa John's pizza.
