Just for clarity, Burkhalter shows as a TE on there, but I’m pretty sure we’re recruiting him as OLB.
Been loading up on the tall frames.

I was wondering about Burkhalter - hopefully we are recruiting him as something other than strictly TE because that would seem like bad news then on Fidone.

Huskers just got another crystal ball for Thomas Fidone via Clint Brewster (24/7 National Guy).

And another for C Burkhalter and yes, he being recruited as a OLB.

Just got two new CB's for Burkhalter and Fidone to N.

Looking like we're gonna get some good news in the next few weeks. We have Latrell Neville announcing on July 4th, too.

And yes, Burkhalter is going to be a DE or a big OLB, not a TE. We're taking Fidone and maaaaybe Rollins in this class, and thats it.

I've been reading a lot, too, about how they expect this class to be somewhat small. I dunno, we've had some serious attrition. Anyone know how many scholarships are open? We're at 10 recruits, and I'm seeing at least 5 right now that we are getting CB's for. Do we stop at 18 this year? 20?

I just keep on assuming 25 per class until I see otherwise. I'm not well versed in how the timing of a guy's departure impacts the available scholarships for that class, but we've already had this many kids leave.

You figure another one or two find some trouble over the summer and get themselves dismissed.

Christian Burkhalter is great prospect at OLB with some nice offers on the table...OSU, Michigan, FSU, Kentucky and so on....

Yeah, that's probably about right. I always assume 20-22 is "normal" if you aren't losing too many players and you want to hold a few scholarships for transfers or walk-ons that are really kicking ***. Aren't we allowed 86 total scholarships? So, divide by four.

Would be a nice addition. I think he fits that base type OLB, like Nelson. I think this is where we were recruiting Bollers. While Tannor, Payton, Butler, etc fit more of the open, pass rushing DE and JoJo and Wright and Nickel OLB types.
