So far the QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs have been released and only two schools have a player listed in the top 5 in the conference at each position:

Ohio State and.....Indiana.

These rankings are subjective, as are essentially all rankings, but it's interesting to see Indiana being labeled as a team with some serious talent.

FYI, Nebraska is 2-4 with 2AM being the No. 4 QB and Mills being the No. 5 RB.

Top “returning” pass protection grade. He has been silently good on one of Nebraska’s sub par unit groups.

Yes, that’s exactly what I said or that’s what I was meaning to say. Last season he was Top 3 in the BIG 10 for all OTs and Top 5 for all BIG 10 linemen. Brenden Jaimes had the top returning pass pro grade per PFF for all BIG 10 OTs.

But I’d say sub par unit to start the season and relatively strong unit to finish the season. In my opinion, I think the Oline in the 2020 season has a real chance of being a strength, not a weakness. Having Farniok move to left guard and bringing Bryce Benhart along at right OT will benefit that group quit a bit. Lead by Brenden Jaimes and Cam Jurgens and a ton of returning experience, yes, I definitely see that group as a strength in 2020. Just my opinion.

I expect Jurgens to be top 5 at C.

I think Farniok has the potential to be a top 5 guard as well especially with the benefits of having Jaimes on his left hip and Jurgens on his right hip, but won't make the list preseason.

I'm not sure if the lack of experience on the right side will keep the unit from being a truly dominant one as a whole, but I feel confident saying the oline will be pretty solid in 2020.

I was impressed with one of Nebraska’s TD drives against Iowa last year. They ran the ball down Iowa’s throat but didn’t continue to run it the next couple drives. I thought Iowa was lucky they didn’t.
