only teams with a chance to make the playoffs in the final 8 games of the 'regular season' were invited (4 games back of 8-seed or less)

season's over for those teams too far out of it

here's the full story:

As it should be.. We would be the finals by now if everything was normal..

yep.. with this new calendar we will get playoffs overlapping with football (assuming it begins on time) for up to 6 weeks.

one thing's for sure: we're going to go from zero sports on tv to something worth watching just about every night starting Aug 1, and perhaps earlier depending on when the NHL starts its playoffs

GTFO. This is a sports message board, not a political message board.
Yeah. Okay. So, you won't respond to my post. It's so easy to respond to my post... you could just say.... yes!!!

Instead, you get inflated. You want to blow up over a yes or no. Its pretty easy for you to resort to that when you have no answers.

Let's go to the Fox news message board. I'll answer it there.

Completely not connected. Where there is a fire, people respond. They put it out.

RG3 wants to complain??? I took an ankle injury reading that.

I still don't understand the need to start so late. They should have played a few exhibition games and had a shortened playoffs. If you start in June, you might get done by the end of July and be ready to start the next season on time.

Might be beneficial in the long run though.. Nba should be starting on or around Christmas day anyway. This gives them a chance to make that shift

Not you. The fact that saying that ALL lives matter is somehow insensitive and... punishable by firing?? Huh??

Is it okay to say, "The rule of law matters"? I suppose criminals of all colors will be offended by that one. Can't win.

It's not a fireable offense but the lack of outrage by coworkers probably is a hint that it might have been time. Not understanding how ALL lives matter isn't the mantra right now might mean it's time to sit out the discussion and listen to those in pain. You can learn quite a bit by just listening.

It's funny to me. Some of you act like you don't know what the antagonizing "code words" are and think you're slick dropping them in discourse. They set up ole buddy here pretty nicely and it looks like he took the bait. Not a very bright guy.

Never forget who is in charge in the NBA. Announcer guy forgot what they did to Donald Sterling (a BILLIONAIRE mind you) a few years back. He lacks empathy and what we call common sense.

If passed, this is huge news for college football.

Im not positive on how? 22 teams dropping 6 after 8 games. Then shrinking each round, all games no fans with them played all at same location.
Football isn’t being played without fans or in the same location. Football will have more difficulty in my opinion.
