10-20 blacks will kill other blacks in Chicago alone this weekend and it won’t even make the news. And no one will protest. Why?
Choosing the lesser of two evils, is still choosing evil. Condemn both if they are both wrong. It's kind of their sworn duty to protect citizens not kill them........
So yeah. It's a little bigger deal.
who's the self proclaimed neo-nazi?Yeah but we haven't had many presidents with a self proclaimed neo-nazi calling their campaign shots!
This. If NikkiSixx is correct and the policeman felt threatened by the crowd he wouldn't have had his hand in his pocket. Beyond that, the guy was subdued, cuffed, and 4 officers were on-scene. Maybe an explanation of why they didn't just put him in the squad car could shed some light on the thought process, but i doubt it will be anything more than a legal defense. The cops body english seems odd to me. For him to keep his left hand in his pocket, was he able to put more force in the mans neck? 9 minutes of keeping your hand in your pocket while kneeling on someone seems weird on a subdued individual.
The looting and destruction of property of fires puts our country back 10 years and doesn’t serve any purpose by honoring his death..
How many reports do you see of white guys trying to cash a counterfeit $20 and getting murdered by police while unarmed and restrained? I’ll wait, forgive me if I won’t just believe you. Saying more innocent black people are killed by other black people than police again deflects from the actual issue, not to mention is completely irrelevant. The entire black population is so much larger than the police force it’s not even remotely comparable. They also aren’t in charge of protecting the public, the problem is the imbalance of power. Of course civilians kill civilians more than the police do, the entire purpose of the police force is protect the public and prevent any murders. The fact it even needs to be said is the entire issue. I don’t think anyone believes most cops are crooked either, I certainly don’t. But this happens more than it should and saying “oh well it’s a few bad apples, what could we do?” is idiotic. No, it doesnt. But a lot of rage in these protests are about supposed mass oppression and institutionalized racism when it's more likely isolated incidents that get air time and social media traction. I just like to point out that it is almost never some guy minding his own business is suddenly targeted and killed. It is far less systemic than it is spun to be. That is why all these people only care for 1 week or so every year or so. Their lives are so uninhibited by oppression, they forget they were supposed to complain about it. Cops shouldn't kill, but by and large, this is not an institutional issue. More innocent blacks die at the hands of eachother and there is no outrage in the public eye. I stress the importance of pointing to hypocrisy. I think logically, not politically. You should never die at the hands of law enforcement, unless you are trying to take someone's life.
I appreciate your willingness to think logically on a charged topic.This.
And FTR, I am pretty much always on the side of the police in these situations. I thought the Michael Brown deal was nothing more than an excuse to riot and for the race baiters to make money. This one is far and away the most egregious form of police brutality I've seen in my life.
Choosing the lesser of two evils, is still choosing evil. Condemn both if they are both wrong.

there are numerous horrific unarmed white guys getting killed by cops. Some way worse than what happens to these poor guys. Just doesn't get air-time. Media are bunch of opportunistic parasites. How many reports do you see of white guys trying to cash a counterfeit $20 and getting murdered by police while unarmed and restrained? because snitches get stitches or so the saying goes.Valid point and yet nobody cares.
You dismiss one by saying the other Is a bigger deal. I think you believe if one acknowledges the entire situation, that they disagree with your point. Does it strike you as odd that there is little to no outrage over far worse atrocities, merely due to a lack of social media traction? I'm sure if someone decided "enough is enough" on black on black killing and cited an innocent black child or student dying senselessly at the hands of another black male in the inner city, socail media would explode and there would suddenly be widespread outrage.Looting is wrong. Where did I say it wasn't. For odd reason it seems like I'm in an argument trying to convince people the cop wasn't justified.

sucks that that happens to people. Profiling is a natural human instinct and when it comes to life or death, sadly, that's how things go. We all try not to but our subconscious becomes conditionedAfrican Americans do get a lot more attention from the police. Some friends of ours (white mom black dad) have their kids get pulled over all the time. Funniest was when they didn’t see mom in the back seat and pulled the kids over. When asked what they pulled the kids over for, they answered “to have them prove their blinkers worked”. Once they proved the blinkers were working, Mom got out and ripped the idiot a new one. Funny as ****, Another friend of ours (also African American) got pulled over in her new car by the police so they could check if she really owned it. Made her produce the title and everything. Once she produced proof that she owned it, they let her go. A white person would never have that happen... just reality...
not marketable for political gain.True but what about those in power, mayor governor, congressional reps? Crickets only.
You appear to just be an outraged contrarian. Cops that kill innocent people are such a small percentage of cops. And yet people believe the entire system is racist and a stacked deck against black people. Again, cop was wrong, but i still do not believe in institutional racism. Innocents whites are killed by police far more often than you think obviously. Doesnt matter if it was for a counterfeit bill. Is the issue innocent blacks dying? Or is it systemic institutional nationalized racism? The latter is not real. The former garners 0 outrage or even concern from the general public. You included. How many reports do you see of white guys trying to cash a counterfeit $20 and getting murdered by police while unarmed and restrained? I’ll wait, forgive me if I won’t just believe you. Telling tales doesnt help your side. Extrapolating "experiences "2 people you know into the mean is dangerous.African Americans do get a lot more attention from the police. mgbreis made it political and it went off the tracksThis thread is disturbing. How quickly this subject went from "that is a bad cop and should be charged" almost to a person, to an argument about race is astonishingly sad. I'd venture to guess that 99.9% of the people on this board aren't racists, and yet so many get easily dragged into producing stats about black on black crime or how many whites vs blacks are killed by police. None of that matters in regards to this story and everybody knows it.
Looting is wrong. Where did I say it wasn't. For odd reason it seems like I'm in an argument trying to convince people the cop wasn't justified.
It matters in the sense that this is not an isolated incident people are outraged about, it is the claims that this is the straw breaking the camel's back on a system that is inherently racist. People claiming the cops have an "open season" on blacks, when the largest threat to a black life, is another black life. This thread is disturbing. Third-degree murder specifically does not include intent to cause death. That's the charge the officer is facing, along with a manslaughter charge. This idea that he was trying to kill him is insane. It's an involuntary manslaughter, absolutely. But it's not murder.
You must not be from MN. This has been boiling for a while and this was the spark that started the fire. You dismiss one by saying the other Is a bigger deal. Again, you make baseless claims with no facts. It doesn’t really matter, I said I wouldn’t get in this conversation and I shouldn’t have, no one on this board is changing their mind and you see the world how you want to see it.You appear to just be an outraged contrarian. Boiling for a while how? I am curious when and how this came on your radar as an ongoing issueYou must not be from MN. This has been boiling for a while and this was the spark that started the fire.
wasn't aware there was a 3rd degree version of murder.. but thanks for posting that.Third-degree murder specifically does not include intent to cause death. That's the charge the officer is facing.
Which claims would you like supported by facts?Again, you make baseless claims with no facts. It doesn’t really matter, I said I wouldn’t get in this conversation and I shouldn’t have, no one on this board is changing their mind and you see the world how you want to see it.

The huge numbers of unarmed, innocent white people killed by police.Which claims would you like supported by facts?
I'm from MN. Anyone who reads the news or watching local news knows there has been police problems ready to blow up. Sorry if your late to the party and just found out when Fox news brought it your attention. The outraged side has to dismiss

So I didnt use the word huge, but if you simply use your ******* head and internet, you can see more whites killed by police than any other race, every year. NPR, New York times, name me the source you trust and I'll show you facts you wont want to agree with. You bring no discourse to the discussion. You just try your best to chip away at a side. Well, I have no side, I think for myself, logically, with facts. Cop was wrong, institutional racism is a damn myth. More whites die at the hands of police than any other race. Fact. And it isn't because they are racist either. The huge numbers of unarmed, innocent white people killed by police.
Any source. Literally any credible source with statistics. If you had one you would’ve produced it by now. You’re making my point and now insulting because you have no evidence. Sad.So I didnt use the word huge, but if you simply use your ****ing head and internet, you can see more whites killed by police than any other race, every year. Ready to blow up? I don't get my news from partisan sources, and surely you let your news stations do your thinking. Sorry if your late to the "come to your own informed conclusions" party. The news told you of widespread police brutality happening under your nose eh? And you try to jab at me and site a news station as some type of ammunition. You cant have actual debate. Radicalized SJWI'm from MN. Anyone who reads the news or watching local news knows there has been police problems ready to blow up. Sorry if your late to the party and just found out when Fox news brought it your attention.
I'm not claiming anyone thought it would come to a police station being burned down, but this isn't a shock.
You edited your post. You originally said noone was shocked about the city burning.I'm from MN. Anyone who reads the news or watching local news knows there has been police problems ready to blow up. Sorry if your late to the party and just found out when Fox news brought it your attention.

Remember in a week when your focused on some other social media trend, that you've done nothing in your life to make your community better, and you never will.Yeah man it’s the looting that’s the problem, cool take. This is getting locked anyways, not worth the time.
