I guess I was hoping it would be more"traditional" $$ from advertising and not how much they're wasting their God given time on Twitter and social media. Oh well. Probably gonna need more tutors.

NU has already (first school to publicly do so) announced a partnership with a company started and led by former kicker Adi Kunalic to do just that for Husker athletes.
traditional ads will pale in comparison to earnings potential online, as I've been trying to communicate all along.
this is a good thing for Husker Nation. AM, who's deleted twitter for long periods of time and largely is inactive on social media, has ~90k twitter/IG followers today.

Ok I trust your numbers because you're into this. So if AM has that many followers, why didn't that land him in the original tweet? Are those not translating into$ yet? Are we behind in marketing that? Thanks for your insight
that first graphic was just a sample of 12 athletes chosen by the author, not necessarily a leaderboard or anything like that. the projected earnings do come from Opendorse, though, which is the company NU has partnered with to help athletes drive their brand value. they work with athletes from all the pro leagues currently, so that's the basis of these numbers.
for football, it was a well-known QB, well-known defensive player and top-rated incoming freshman.
I'd expect his projected earnings to be somewhere in the $100-$150k/year ballpark based on followers/name recognition, and that's without him even trying to market his own brand like the Ehlinger types.
