In ground basketball hoop recommendations

I'm looking for an in ground hoop for my house. Anyone have any recommendations or brands they like?

So far have looked at:
Bison
Goalrilla
Pro Dunk Hoops

Kids are young, but want something they can grow into.

I did one about 27 years ago at my first house I ever owned...and used 20 yards of 'crete to set it, and scratched my signature (initials really) into the wet cement...when I bought that house back 25 years later and moved back in it was really cool to see my initials again in the base. What was the question again?

After much research, we installed a Game Changer 55-60 (by Ironclad) a few summers ago. Would recommend. Sitting here looking out the window. No rim fade...to pink...which is good.:Cool:

My dad did it the South Omaha way. He went out to valmont and got a commercial light pole and mounted a giant backboard to it like you'd see in a high school gym.

I remember one of is work buddies came over with a ginormous truck mounted auger and drilled a hole in the ground and set the mounts. Then we bolted that light pole to it.

Be installed the goalrilla from dicks last year. Real happy with it. I let my daughter dunk and hang on the rim and it doesnt budge

When my brother and I were younger helped Dad install a Bison. At least doubled the amount of concrete it called for. Made sure to fill the space between the driveway and pole with concrete so it would be less likely to tilt from dunking the **** out of it. Also filled the pole probably 3/4 full with concrete to make it more stable.

Brother and I werent big heavy guys by any means but if we lowered it some and dunked the ever living hell out of that thing. Never moved an inch. Rim and backboard never showed any signs of wear.

Bison is local (Lincoln) and high quality.

Other things that sound awesome that you will end up not using as much as you thought...

Air Hockey Table (Again, great for clothes)
BowFlex (Hangers for clothes)

Don't think a hoop is comparable to those other items. Hoop will get tons of use over the years.

Oh for sure, it will get way more use there is no doubt about that. I was sort of just making a joke but I also remember the hope I had growing up...I bet we ended up playing real games on that hope...maybe 20 times.
