Considering this is everything that Frost is trying to eradicate from the program, I find it very hard to believe. Im going to assume Frost and Co vet these recruits much better than the average joe blow Iowa fan.
Usually this is the type of garbage Iowa fans start spewing out about recruits when they realize Iowa doesn't have a chance at getting them.
I don’t believe each offer has been subjected to a thorough evaluation process. We have offered more recruits than any team in the nation. I’m sure talent is the primary concern.

Clearly if he doesn’t choose Iowa he is afraid of competition. That’s the only reason.
I knew I forgot at least one of the rumors, thanks man, happy Friday.

BTW, I don’t hate Iowa fans, I hate ignorance, it just so happens that the vast majority of Iowa fans I encounter are ignorant. :)

As a Neb fan you should be well aware of how the offer process works with Frost and his staff. If they are actively recruiting, in contact with and one of their top target, they have vetted him to the point they are confident he has the character and work ethic. At least to the point they are willing to take a chance on him. If he is as horrible as you made it sound I can almost guarantee they would be moving on.
Again most of this type of stuff usually comes from butt hurt Iowa fans. A player picks Iowa he is the best, most dedicated, talented, hard working player out there. If he is leaning towards another school. He is worthless, lazy, and Iowa didn't really want him. Guessing that is the case with this kid too.

Yep, Lincoln doesn't have a pro team.
Those iwegians think of everything.

Meaning if he wants to play in the NFL he won’t make it there by going to Lincoln and playing for Nebraska.o_O

You have admit that his odds increase dramatically if he goes to Iowa. When was the last Husker TE drafted? Did Frost have one at UCF? He didn’t while being the OC at Oregon. Hate away on anything Iowa, but it’s a no brainer where he is more likely to earn millions in 3-4 years.

Everyday over here in Des Moines on sports radio is a conversation about Iowa winning the national title in basketball next season. LOL. Iowa hasn’t been to sweet 16 in over 20 years. Nebraska has more top 11 finishes in the last 33 years than Iowa does. What a stat.

delusion is running deep over here.

I never made a comment about Fidone. I would never pretend to have insight about the kid or his recruitment. Perhaps I’m incorrect and every 500+ offer has been thoroughly evaluated. I do believe team culture and player character is important to a program.

BS, Fant goes in the NFL first round if he plays for Nebraska and if Fidone is the athlete he seems to be he’ll be fine as well. If it was a”no brainer” for millions he and those around him would make the choice for Iowa. Most of us respect Iowa football for what it is, most Iowa fans over estimate what Iowa football is nationally. Hence why the vast majority of Iowa fans think Iowa will win the West and win at least 9 games with an untested QB with zero starts.

He does not like lifting weights.....

He does not want to go to the NFL.....

He’s not a hard worker.....

He does not love football......

He is a prima donna......

Along with Bollers, he is not being seriously recruited by Iowa.....

he wouldn’t fit into the “we may not win championships, but at least our team is clean (allegedly)” culture at Iowa.
This type of post is like the good old days before COVID19.

Yes, Jordan Akins was a 3rd round draft pick.
Not bad in four years of coaching, where it'll only get better at a P5 school, a blueblood[/QUOTE]

I believe it is the only draft eligible TE in those 4 years. Stoll will be draft eligible after next season.

Mike Riley would have developed Fant into a first rounder? Now I’ve heard it all. Husker fans under estimate where Kirk Ferentz stands in the national scene as far as developing talent and sending them to the NFL. George Kittle isn’t George Kittle if Kirk doesn’t take a chance on him.

Iowa has gotten better TE’s with better offers because of it. More TE’s have taken longer looks at Iowa. As have many other higher ranked prospects.

As to next season. Why wouldn’t Iowa fans be excited? They have the most offensive fire power they have had in a decade. Petras is a four star that comes with a lot of hype. Broke Jared Goff’s high school passing records. A returning WR has said he doesn’t expect any drop off from Stanley. Petras has been at Iowa for a couple years so he isn’t new to the system. Wisconsin at home. I’m not betting on it, but it’s realistic.

I know you guys love to hype up Kirk Farentz developmental wizardry, TE U and whatever. But I just looked up Kittles stats at Iowa. In 4 years he had: 5,1, 20 and 22 receptions. If the best TE on earth can only get 48 receptions in 4 years, what does that say?

I say people have to give Iowa props for developing NFL players lately. In the same breath, though, Kirk Ferentz has done less with more than almost any coach in the country. Two second rounders in '18, two firsts in '19, projected to have two firsts in '20...likely have at least another first in '21...the pinnacle of this run being a 10-win Holiday Bowl team, come on. Talk about underachieving.

You give that much talent to a guy like Pat Fitzgerald and his team plays in the Rose Bowl. That's why Iowa is Iowa I guess.

You suck worse than Missouri at sports if that's possible. I believe you not being jealous. Who would want to win 10 games when you could win 5 games?
JFC, Iowa has won 10 games twice in the last decade. Is that really the measure of greatness? We have sucked. You have sucked slightly less dipshit.

It says he was hurt a lot. Unfortunately, he missed a ton of games his last two years due to injury. We could see glimpses with he and Beathard but it didn’t turn into consistent dominance like we Fant or Hockenson. Kittle was on Golic and Wingo just yesterday raving about Iowa and it’s development.

Remember the name Sam LaPorta. Was a true freshman last year and came on strong to end the year. He caught the pass that out Iowa in FG range in Lincoln. He also had a big game against USC, where Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt continued to rave about him and Iowa’s development.
