That's cute. Which ones state facts that arent factual? Let's discuss it? Or are you just going to fraudulently make some broad generalization with nothing to support it?
Not going to go rounds with you, so before you respond. Just realize I will not respond to anything more you post about this... Your facts are coming from far right people... seriously @freedomgirl2011 <- yeah that isn't an ultra conservative twitter account  So to an ultra conservative mind like yours it is fact, and I know I am not going to change that. So please don't try to change my opinions with tweets from people talking about "Human Rights come before Human Lives" like freedomgirl2011.

Her pinned Quote

Yeah sorry... Something coming from that mind is not "fact".

That is like a far left person trying to say Pelosi ripping the paper behind Trump was justifiable. I don't think like that and never will, so don't try just saving you time on posting more BS.

Just when you and I are agreeing on things, you're thinking about bailing?
Sorry, man. You will have to debate the alt-right without me. I don’t know why the mods are allowing some of this nonsense to continue, but I don’t think it’s healthy, so I’m going to bow out. See you in the football threads, friend.

Omg here we go, you and numbers again.
As of today:

Sweden- 86.14 deaths per million people
United States- 56.73 deaths per million people

https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/total-covid-deaths-per-million

Just run your arrow over the country for which you want to find the data....

Here's a linear graph comparing the US and Sweden over time...

https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/total-covid-deaths-per-million?tab=chart&country=SWE+USA

Of course, I suppose Sweden is part of this global conspiracy as well....

Are probably a couple weeks out from this kind of sentiment becoming more prevalent.

Yesterday the governor of Michigan issued an executive order in response to covid that made operating a motorized boat in the state illegal, but specifying that operating a sailboat is just fine. Can't go out with your wife in an 18 foot Lund but can take as many family members as you'd like out sailing.

A couple of these governors have lost their ****. If people forget that come election time, then they deserve what they get.

I just want to say I'm thankful that my job has kept me busier than ever the past few weeks. I'm very sorry for the people who cannot work, but staying productive has been very good for me. If I was spending 20 hours per day screaming at people on an internet message board and masturbating to the Twitter feed of a thriller novel writer, I'm certain I would have lost my mind by now - assuming I ever really had one.

Sorry man, but don’t put this on the mods. When we opened things up, we said enter at your own risk. We just wanted the political banter to revolve around CV19 and didn’t want threats or name calling. There’s a lot of crazy stuff being thrown around on both sides and just because someone disagrees with it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t allow it.

I don’t want these stupid threads here any more than anyone else but since the powers that be decided to allow them, they are part of the board right now. I kind of tried to shut them down for a while after they spiraled out of control and was bitched at by some posters because of it. I try to monitor these threads as much as possible but can’t be around here all of the time.

I think that you are doing the right thing by bowing out if you don’t like the discussion that is going on and not degenerating to name calling like some have and been given a vacation for. I think these threads have been a good indicator of why we don’t allow political or religion to be discussed on the board. Hopefully we get back to normal soon and put these stupid threads behind us.

Facts are facts. Facts are not just what someone decides to write in a column. USA is a country...Fact.... USA is a country run by liberals is not a fact. Just because I read something and agree with it does not make it a fact. That fact has been conveniently left out of discussions in the country and this board as of late. If you need further explanation you do not belong on this board. That is also not a fact but an opinion. Just in case you were confused.

Take into account that this is a snapshot of right now. These numbers can and probably will change some. Sorry if these facts hurt your feelings. Sorted by deaths per 1M pop.

Why is Sweden doing better than many European countries?

We have to start talking about opening this country back up.
No one and I repeat no one wants to keep everything shut down. This is not enjoyable for anyone, and most would agree we need to open the country back up. The question is, is your money worth more than someone else's life. To me the answer is no. Someone's financial status is definitely second fiddle in this case, and that should not be looked at as a burden to your freedoms. Is should be looked at as humanity is more important than any business venture.

If you don't think you'll survive this lock down financially I understand your concern. Just know that if people are good at what they do, they will be fine no matter when this ends. Sorry, but my family and friends lives are more important to me than people's freedom and financial status.

Why is Sweden doing better than it's neighboring countries?

From the Swedish Public Health Authority, use Google Translate.

https://www.folkhalsomyndigheten.se...a-utbrott/covid-19/bekraftade-fall-i-sverige/

There is some delay in reporting and supplementing data on new cases and deceased cases, so the number of days in recent days (especially during holidays) should be interpreted with caution.

Why is Sweden doing better than it's neighboring countries?

1) Sweden's neighboring countries are Norway, Finland, and Denmark. None of them are on this graph.

2) Sweden is not doing better than their neighbors in deaths per million people, as you can see:

Ok, if only it were this simple.
Certainly some will die if we go back to work. Its, not whether some think they wont survive, fact is, some are already suffering.
Businesses that hire people, many have fallen through the cracks in getting stimulus. People living week to week, states who have peaked , people getting sick in essential areas of food processing, shipping food, grocery stores, replacements needed.
If the stmiulus offers too much help to stay at home as opposed to replace any one of those workers getting sick at an essential job, are, or when will be screwed?
I for one find a simple, hunker down or you'll kill someone is a very boneheaded and thoughtless conclusion.

Now, I've given some very opvious realities, and no offense to you, honest, but people dying of non wuhan related problems are skyrocketing too, they can't get their helps.

Just a few of thousands of reasons why doing nothing is just so wrong.

Hey I don't want to be pedantic or anything, but since there are 28 countries in the European Union and another handful of countries that are certainly European (Norway and Switzerland, for example), why is Sweden ranked 7th in deaths per million population?
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104709/coronavirus-deaths-worldwide-per-million-inhabitants/
(NOTE: Be sure to expand the chart to more than 13 entries - it goes up to 50 on page 1 and 130 on page 2)

Whether it's the original or edited version, your post makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Also, look at swedens recovery. People recovered vs known sickness is skewed as well, it shows in sweden, its ramping up, as few have recovered

Here I'll change it for you so you don't have to be so pedantic and we don't argue over "neighboring.
Pedantic nothing.....

Do you consider the person living 2 blocks from your your neighbor, when you don't consider the person living in the house next to you as such?

Your reply made no sense.....I'm guessing because you don't have one based on facts.

Like another poster illustrated....Sweden is one of Europe's worst when it comes to deaths per million fro C19....and, regardless of where they rank Europe, worse than the US (which was the main point).

I look forward to another one of your replies devoid of facts or sense.

I'm not claiming to know whether Sweden's approach makes sense or not. I'm just not dense enough to see Sweden ranked 7th among all European countries in deaths per million population and post it as proof that they're right and everybody else is wrong.

Bingo, we are all adults. We should be able to communicate, without name calling, degrading or insulting. People can't get offended when they read things that they disagree with or don't like. As with anything in life, if you don't like something, don't do it, don't watch it, don't read, don't respond to it.

I wake up, and it seems overnight, people have forgotten why we are social distancing.
It's not that we will kill someone if we dont do it, unless we flood our med resources, it's not about doing social distancing is either right or wrong, it is only to save our med resources from being over run so all can get cares, as we shut down cares that are life and death to others who can't get theirs because they don't have wuhan.
Going back to work won't kill anyone, the curve is flattened, but its duration is extended, saving only the lives that would have otherwise died by lack of med cares, meanwhile, those of other needs, transplants, certain treatments etc etc, are dying the longer we remain this way.
The same number of people die, no matter the path, other than those we can't give cares to.

Meanwhile, suicides, businesses are dying, no jobs for many to go back to.

Soon, it will become so obvious we need to get back to work, we wont have the luxury of having to choose who was right.

Catching COVID-19 will increase your chances of dying, while governments are trying to protect our medical resources, they are also trying to minimize overall casualties at the same time. People at work (cops, front-line workers, medical workers) are dying right NOW from COVID-19, saying that everyone could just go back to "normal" and there would be no surge in cases and deaths isn't accurate.

Are we going to shoot this one down too? Do we have the medias permission to have hope in it?
https://www.foxnews.com/science/exp...-remdesivir-is-showing-early-promise-research

Fauci isn't the "media", the CDC isn't the "media". Doctors were cautioning promoting and claiming it was a miracle drug, there are trials going for both. The primary hype from hydroxychloroquine and an antibiotic came from a widespread trial of 24 patients, in one-hospital, by one doctor over 6 days.
