At least the best of all time up to 1995, I have a hard time thinking they could compete with the 2 playing tonight way too much speed, muscle and talent.
Game has certainly changed a lot. Diff era comparisons are tough.

Although you have to hand it to the TN Titans for making a statement about elite running game and sound defense, even in the modern era.
The Huskers treated Florida just like every other team that season. They saw who had the speed!
And Peyton Manning and all his weapons. And Miami Hurricanes and all their speed.
The 95 Huskers would get ran off the field by this LSU team. Today’s athletes are too superior in every way to athletes 25 years ago.
I wouldn’t go that far as too say they would get run off the field, but if your going to make that statement they’d run everyone off the field that is on that list too..

Who do you think is likely the better team....4-8 Ole Miss in 2019 (in a better conference from top to bottom), or 4-8 Oklahoma State from 1995?

Win % of 2019 LSU opponents- .600
I think that 1995 Nebraska was freakish enough to be a Top 6 team in 2019, but I don't think they're better than either LSU or Clemson in 2019.

I heard on the radio they beat 5 of the top 8 final polled teams. Soundly.

Only two teams they didn’t beat soundly were Auburn and Alabama..
Beating 2,4,6,7 and 8 teams in the final AP poll gives a pretty good resume for the best team of all time if you ask me especially if your comparing it to the 1971 Nebraska team who beat 2,3,4 and 1995 Nebraska team who beat 4 teams in the top 10..
The 1995 team would get waxed by LSU or Clemson. The speed and strength differences are huge. Just sit back and enjoy what we had in the 70S and 90s as dominant over teams at the time, but don't delude yourself into thinking those teams belong on the same field -and I have been closely following NU football for 60 years.
Look at the original post I put up. I count 7 teams in the 2000s that 95 NU is rated higher than. LSU is in the top 3 best discussion but best of all time? Don't think so.
