They don't graduate anyone off the O-line 2-deep if the depth chart I just looked at is right.

They played hard and won the game with their style of play. Imposed their will onto Auburn early

Good for the Gophers, but I stand by my disdain for PJ. Rubs me the wrong way.

Huge congrats to the Gophers - they played extremely well today!

As goofy as Fleck may be, that guy is a really good football coach and gets everything out of his players. The Gophers aren’t going anywhere anytime soon - they are for real and will only continue to improve.

As a Husker fan, I have to admit I’m jealous of what MN has been able to accomplish in such a short time under Fleck.

I’m very jealous as well especially when you have relatives in Minneapolis and other parts of the state..

I would make them the favorite to win the B1G West as of now...

Minnesota was as physical as any team in the conference this year and that's a direct reflection of their coaching staff. That beat down in Minneapolis doesn't look any better, but there's nothing fluky about the Gophers this year.

Should be a great measuring stick for both schools when we play them on Black Friday next year.

Congrats to Minnesota. The combination of Jerry Kill and PJ Fleck has lead Minnesota in the right direction. Hopefully they keep going...Go BIG 10 West

Nice win for the BIG 10. I can see them knocking off OSU in the coming years. Time for us to raise our game to meet the challenge.

Someone needs to explain to him that it takes 3 years, minimum, to change the direction of a program.

??? Little easier when you take over a solid team (not great but solid) compared to absolute Disaster. And this was year 3 for him so he’s right on cue...

someone better pull Cristobal aside and let him know you don't go to the Rose Bowl in year 2 after taking over a team that had only won a total of 11 games in the 2 prior seasons before he took over... of course he was taking over a program from Willie Taggert so he probably inherited a great culture

who the hell are you talking about TEAM wise?

never mind, your talking Oregon in the PAC 12...I don’t even need to say a dam thing here. I think most everyone on here knows the PAC 12 isn’t exactly hard to do good in.

didnt think so, set there with your side ways shots you’re taking.

your trying hard to claim Fleck built Minnesota in 3 years when indeed your dead wrong. Jerry Kill started that rebuild and Fleck finished it off.

Some of you on here need to come to grips that he is a better coach than Frost. He has proven it at two different schools. The downplay of him on here is sad.

Oh I’ll hold off on claiming him better then Frost for the moment. We will see how things look a few years from now. As of right now, Fleck has done better but he also took over a solid team. Frost didn’t. Not apples to apples comparison there.

and I’d definitely have to say Scott Frosts accomplishments are UCF is better then Flecks at W Michigan...just saying...

I'm not downplaying his accomplishments. He's deserving of much credit.
I just don't like the guy's antics and mannerisms.

Hes better than Frost period. He has coached at two schools that are garbage football programs and he is winning better than Frost. The two programs that Fleck has coached compared to Frost is a joke and he unlike Frost is getting it done right now.

In all fairness this team has the majority of all of Fleck’s players..

agreed. Do you not feel what Kill did before Fleck deserves to go unnoticed? He took a garbage Minnesota team and made them a solid team that was competing. Then Fleck took that team over and then here we are...

You also have to give Clay his due too not just Kill..

Still give Fleck the majority of the credit for having a 11 win season..

i give PJ Fleck all the credit for this season...all of it. My point was he didn’t take over a garage Minnesota team. Kill and Clay had them going pretty good when Fleck took over.

yes Fleck took over for a very good coach and made them better

Frost took over for a horrible coach and needs to win 10 games just to match Riley -- it should not be difficult to improve when you take over a 3 win conf team -

it should be much easier to improve on horrible results
winning more than 3 conference games isn't a very high bar - maybe in year 3 we can achieve this epic milestone

And what Frost took over at UCF (0-12) was garbage too. Flecks best record at W Michigan was 12-1 (lost to Wisconsin in their bowl game) while Frost went 13-0 with a win over Auburn in a good bowl game. I agree Flecks had it easier then Frost this far but claiming ones better then other right now is off.

UCF is honestly one of the easiest jobs in the country, they along with Houston have a massive advantage in their conference given the talent they can get compared to their conference foes. As far a UCF, go ahead and post their records the two years prior to 0 and 12.

And sorry, Minnesota wasn’t garbage when Fleck took over. Jerry Kill had them playing some legit football. Take a look at Minnesota record for yourself...

Comparing the programs of Westen Michigan/Central Florida and Minnesota/Nebraska is comical. Frost has had a much bigger advantage with the schools he has had the luxury of coaching

This is pretty easy. PJ has done much better than SF. For now.

My God, what ever you say.

UCF plays in the AAC and here’s their best
AAC has UCF (10-3) 17th ranked Memphis (12-1), Houston (4-8), Temple (8-5), 21st ranked Cincinnati (10-3), 23rd ranked Navy (11-2), SMU (10-3) and USF.

W Michigan plays in the MAC and here’s their best
MAC has Central Michigan (8-6), W Michigan (7-6), Miami of Ohio (9-5), Ohio (6-6) and Kentucky State (7-6)...

so sorry, Winning in the AAC would be a lot harder then the MAC. So there Frost would have had it worse.

now in the BIG 10...Fleck took over a solid gig after Jerry Kill had Minnesota going solid. Frost takes over an absolute train wreck after Riley. Sorry my man, Frost has had it worse this far.

You must be completely ignorant. UCF plays in a sorry conference and can literally drive 5 minutes from campus and find studs all day long. Western Michigan is a complete garbage program. Do you see how stupid your statement is. Again, UCF has a MASSIVE advantage in their conference. There is a reason Many coaches are jumping for that job and the Houston. Those are EASY places to win and boost your resume.

Why does Frost have to win 10 games?

Riley is the reason along with Eichorst our program is where we are right now..

If anyone thinks Frost will win close to 11 games in Year 3, against that schedule, they are crazy. It will be a struggle to win 6 games. I hate to say it, but it might not be until Year 5 that he even makes a bowl game.
