Bill Callahan, just got Ron Rivera fired

Bill is the only former coach since TO who has parlayed getting fired from N into a better gig...
I think that speaks volumes right there.
1.) it shows just how great we have been at hiring new head coaches
and
2.) it show that billy c. Wasn’t as bad as what everyone thought he was.
I was actually excited about that hire, he was just coming off of taking his team to the Super Bowel, I think it was only a year removed from it, yea they lost it but still he got them there, he was able to bring it very talented kids, and he was a pretty darned good play caller, his biggest downfall was his failure to fire his DC, that was one personnel move that was obvious at the time it needed to be made but he didn’t do it... BC was and his a solid coach who seems to be fairly respected around the NFL... I told my friend who is a Redskins fan that one I was sorry he was a Redskins fan and two if Bill can parley another win or two he may just have got himself another head coaching gig in the NFL...
Don't forget, Billy C also got released from the Raiders because the team was ready to beat his azz after the SB for what they said was throwing the game. The other thing that was highly reported when he was a Husker coach was that only starters practiced while others stood around.
Haskins has become Billy’s savior it seems and Carolina not having their so-called Superman cost Rivera mightily.
Truth be told it SHOULD have been known that in FACT players on Billy C's Nebraska teams wanted to kick his ***! Especially ones who had success under Solich....
He's a fit for the NFL more so than college, he was a great recruiter and playcaller but failed at player development of college age guys and general leadership/motivation. Again, Frost is making the same mistake IMHO that Callahan made with staff retention, probably ever worse than Billy. Frost is better, at least i have the perception, at player development, general leadership/motivation.
