Why is Verduzco immune?

Every day I read how Frost needs to fire this guy or that guy. But no one ever says that about Mario. Isn’t his returning QB struggling this year? Some might even say that he has regressed somewhat. So why aren’t we clamoring for the QB coach to be replaced? Is it because he’s ‘Krazy’ and likes his cigars and has wild hair so it’s all good?
The worst programs in the nation make it a habit of replacing coaches every year. Not sure why some fans want to gravitate toward that low standard, but I guess that's how it goes.

Just because you coach a certain position doesnt mean you recruit that position specifically. Each coach has a region they recruit. The RB coach (Held) doesnt just recruit rb's. He is the midwest and juco recruiter. Frost recruited Martinez and McCaffrey.

Verduzco shouldn't be fired this year, though I think he's responsible for a lot of AM's regression. If he doesn't have a qb ready to go and playing with confidence next year, whether AM's the starter or not, then yes Mario should have his bags packed.

He’s probably an above average QB coach. He’s done at least 2 good coaching jobs regarding QBs, with McKenzie Milton from 2016 to 2017
and AM from high school to college freshman QB. Basically, 2 Heisman candidates, even though that didn’t pan out. He gets a pass just based on that alone

Maybe it's a new center along with 2 other new O line starters. New RB. No Stanley. No big WRs. A QB who's been dinged who's getting healthy. It's a team game. Not a 1 guys fault game.

I agree with Martinez regressing but it must be stressful with every snap in shotgun. It’s been atrocious- and not improving.

Cam Jurgens is the most improved player on the team. He has got his snaps down for the most part. He is light years from the beginning of the season. He will be all Big 10 player the next 3 years.
