Yep. Tired of the excuses. Chinander needs more time. McBride was the whipping boy. Only been 2 years. Multiple coaches for these kids over 4 years.

Maybe the reality is either you have it or you don’t. Playing and coaching.

Jeesh we have an “empty seat” obsession. The sellout streak will come to an end and there’s been a few threads on here about how it’s not real anyway if you haven’t noticed, but so what. This fan based should be applauded for its continued support. The stadium would empty with any other program in the country that has had a team like ours.

I tend to agree, but there is zero chance Frost will do it. Frost believes his assistants and system are fine they just have to have more talent. I don't see anything changing staff wise until Frost gets a full team of his players. If they are still struggling, then maybe he will do it. So I don't see any staff changes, at the earliest 2 more years.

This team isn't 1 deep at all positions. A lot of these guys wouldn't start at most of the other Big schools. Time and recruiting is the only thing that will fix it.

Take a chill pill. Everything will be fine. Frost will do what is required/needed to win long-term.

The current recruiting class is ranked 40th in the country. How is that going to fix it?

Because they're THEIR guys. They don't just settle for four star guys who hit their ceiling in high school like Riley did. I'd take developmental classes all day over more Tyjon Lindseys

The low ranking is mostly because of the lack of commits. I have concerns with how we will be able to close out this class, but we do have some really impressive top end guys in this class.

Yeah let’s start all over on defense again... let’s do it every 2 years so we don’t have any continuity. Great idea.

Chin’s defense has allowed 30 or more points in 7 of 10 games, and 6 of 7 B1G games.Thank god NW is awful

In Mark Bankers last season (the season that got him fired) as DC his defense allowed 30 or more points in 4 out of 13 games.

nobody wants to have to start over again but there should be more reasons to keep the guy then just because we don’t want to start over. That’s a stupid reason to stay in any relationship

Pretty sure a large segment of the fanbase is hillbillies that believe recruiting rankings are fake news and that Frosty will succeed as long as he gets an asston of Nebraska boys to walk on.

I'd also add a new OC and Special teams coach, with Frost being a real head coach and not just the OC.

Then we will be even worse next year, empty seats by 40,000 before 2nd quarter starts by the sixth game. Eventually $ , will force the Administration to force Frost to change.

Agree. Any defensive scheme will look good if you have a bunch of studs to plug into it, but can we get enough? Or, can these coaches get the most out of the talent they bring in? I guess we will know in 2021 or 2022. Sucks knowing that we don’t have the ability to be good right away, but this is apparently the case and we just get to all sit back and shrug our shoulders for a couple more years anticipating it to get a lot better.

You may be right, they may not start at some schools now but would those schools have welcomed them as recruits. It's called development.

Just out of curiosity....

What proof do you have of Frost accomplishing anything "long-term", aside from your fan-boyism?

So what, your assume because we lost several one possession games that we aren’t going anywhere? During year 1 and 2 of a rebuild that means Frost isn’t accomplishing anything?

Not 100% so sure on that. There were thousands of tickets for very cheap as of Sat morning and nobody wanted them. Attendance has been shrinking for years. Its no secret booster and business have had to buy up tickets to keep the sell out streak alive. The season ticket waiting list was once years long, no more. People are losing interest. Especially as the older fans die off, there isn't as many young fans sharing their old family members passion. All these young fans have know is bad Nebraska.
Frost came in and rejuvenated husker fans. Everyone thought we would finally have a coach who could flip this. Nobody was expecting instant results, but most were expecting to at the very least see progress from year 1 to year 2. 2 years in and many are losing faith, justified or not. I think people will have hope again at the start of next year, I suspect if we have another rough few games. That those empty seats will become more and more.

oh I guarantee it, it’s just a matter of getting those season holders to let go of them. I seen progress yesterday against Wisconsin and i know on Twitter there was a bunch that hated losing the game but seen progress too. If the cherry *** pansies can’t handle this rebuild...GFTO and sell them tickets. As you can see, I can’t stand these fair weather weenies.

It’s no secret Nebraska, like many schools, haven’t had sellouts every game like they claim. They buy up the left over tickets & donate them to keep the “sellout” streak alive.
This happens everywhere & has happened for years. Read the articles about how ND’s streak ended yesterday. They decided they were no longer going to honor a fake streak & no longer allow it to count when rich alum or the school itself, buy up the tickets needed to make it a sellout & then give them away. If you ever have spent any time in a Nebraska box area it is discussed openly among people how to keep the streak alive.

Oh the tickets are indeed SOLD. That’s what they are counting. Now if someone who buys them suddenly doesn’t come or make it, that doesn’t go against the school and said ticket being sold or not sold.

It's not a fake streak if all of the tickets are in fact being sold. You and a handful of weirdos take it as some sort of personal affront when another game is sold out. You don't have to spend time in the "Nebraska box area" to understand that extra seats are bought up; everyone knows it. Any other breaking news (that everyone already knows) that you can let us in on?

I’m not a Husker fan. I’m neutral to Nebraska. My in-laws are big donors & I attend games with them sometimes.
And yes, it’s a fake streak when the school itself buys the tickets, which has happened.

You really don’t know anything do you?
Just cover your eyes, ears & pretend all is well...
It’s amazing how there are thousands of tickets available a few days before a game, then poof, a bunch are magically sold & underprivileged families are at the game?
It happens everywhere. And the schools are part of it.

Let’s say hypothetically say Chins gets the boot. 2 years later we don’t like that one and have to start over and then rinse and repeat.. wait a minute, we did that with Solich... hmmmmmmm... besides, you guys would miss Chins. He is your Donald Trump/CNN or Hillary/Fox relationship. What would you be happy about if you didn’t have an easy target to trash? Let’s be honest with ourselves, we enjoy the hate more than we ever would playing well and winning... This same hate was directed at Frank and Bo who won 9 to 10 games so really this board has not shifted in nearly 20 years. Thankfully Frost is the less than 0.1% that has a vision and will execute it as those things take time. Too many “chase the shiny object” leaders over the past two decades...

brotha chances are we know just as much as the other does. Stop acting like you’re some one in the know...like you’re apart of the Nebraska campus, Athletic department, or school and you know stuff we don’t. You’re on this board bang in your conspiracy theory. Give it up dude. Simply put, if the ticket is sold...it counts. End of story

The University has never purchased any tickets to keep the streak alive. Some donors have however that has not happened in years.
