4. Scott Frost, Nebraska – When Mike Riley was still the Head Coach at Nebraska a buddy of ours who played for Frank Solich at Nebraska told us over lunch in Omaha that >

“They have forgotten how to win at Nebraska and it’s not going to be easy to turn that place around.”

Watching Nebraska play in 2019 it’s become our opinion that Scott Frost badly misunderstood what he was actually taking over at Nebraska and that Frost believed that through better coaching, conditioning program, and other things that Frost did at UCF and saw done at Oregon that the Huskers would by now have Nebraska back to winning football games.

After a loss to a really bad Purdue team on Saturday what has become clear to us is that the problems at Nebraska are primarily….

A Lack of Leadership and Motivational Issues

…and that Frost’s particular brand of coaching which isn’t really focused on Leadership and Motivation is just making things worse in Lincoln or at best just treading water. It’s also now our opinion that either Scott Frost will change his approach from…

“We are going to show everyone in America how tough Nebraska really is.”

….to Leading and Motivating the Nebraska Football Program or nothing is going to change for the better and a year from now Scott Frost will be well on his way to being fired at Nebraska.

Reality is Tom Osborne, Barry Switzer, Don James, Paul Bryant, Bud Wilkinson, Darrell Royal…name whatever great coach you can think of from the past…would have to change their coaching style to coach Today’s Players or they would be Failing Totally like Scott Frost is now Failing at Nebraska and either Frost will realize that soon or he is headed for the same ending the Bill Callahan, Bo Pelini, and Mike Riley found at Nebraska which is getting fired and told to pack-up your things…because you are DONE!

Mainly the problem right now at Nebraska is…

It’s Miserable As Hell to play football for the University of Nebraska Football Team precisely because the Head Coach is miserable as Hell and either Frost will get these kids Excited about playing football and having Fun playing football again….like the players were at UCF under Frost….or it’s Danger Ahead Scott Frost!

Scott Frost’s records at Nebraska are now….

Overall: 8 – 13

Big Ten: 5 – 10

…and the Huskers have left on their 2019 schedule games against…

Wisconsin
At Maryland
Iowa

Will Nebraska win another game in 2019?

Can this Huskers team even beat a really bad Maryland team on the road?

What will be the situation at Nebraska if the Huskers finish at….

5 – 7

OR

4 – 8

….heading into the 2020 season?

It will nothing short of a Complete Freaking Disaster with Scott Frost probably panicking and overreacting in an even worse way to what he sees as some kind of “weakness” with the Nebraska football team and players when in reality it’s…

A Fundamental Misunderstanding of The Problem with Nebraska Football

Frost is not on the hot seat, but they are dead on about how the coaches and players all seem miserable. The only way that changes is winning. It's impossible to make football fun if you're not winning.

The problem is that Frost has never had to coach a team that had less talent than most of their opponents. He was handed the keys to Chip Kelly's offense led by a Heisman caliber QB. He was handed a talent roster of Florida players in a weak conference.

these guys know absolutely NOTHING if they truly think Frosts seat is hot. Now Chins DC spot might be (and probably should be) but Frosts seat isn’t even warm. This **** needs to STOP NOW. It’s going to kill any recruiting momentum we have...if we even have any at the moment. Scott Frost will be here at least till his 4th-5th year and IF, I mean a BIG IF he’s still struggling then, then his seat might get hot.

Meh. I've watched that site for years. It doesn't predict anything we don't already know, nor is it a purveyor of first hand knowledge.

If you don't mind being behind the ball, go read homer Sipple.

same place you and every other mothball-brained nincompoop get your tired, recycled takes.
Well, Dirk.

Can you refute what I have said or will you continue to just swear your troubles away?

In any case, your costume or not... you have proven to be an elaborately covered Hawkeye fan.

nincompoop and mothball are swears now? sheesh, must be blue plate special time here at the board.

I refute that this place being a stinking, steaming pile of garbage is a 'hot take'. it's pretty damn obvious if you ask me.

pardon my french.

I'm offended you'd compare my sterling prose for Dirk's rambling diarrhea. He'd give his last 10 good years for my eloquence.

go to bed.
You have yet to refute anything I've said, youngling.

If or if no . You have insulted this place... your true Iowa colors have shown.

"Sterling prose"... lmao

I said I refute your claim of it being a hot take that this board is a cesspool. I stand by that.

Like, you know, several posts ago.

Put on your readers and re-scan. Then go to bed.

So...in summary you launched your attack upon a neutral remark, trying to make a hot take or a name for yourself.

"or keep coming here"

Hmm... are you coming at me? At this whole forum?????? Not very well thought out.

Ok, so I bit and I wanted to see how far you'd dig your hole. Wasn't surprised.

You heard it here first, folks.
no, they've heard it plenty. and largely, they agree.

this place is a black hole of negativity and recycled thoughts, paraded out in new threads every 2 or 3 days and expounded upon to no end. there are entire threads dedicated to it, in fact.

feel free to look around and explore.

extraordinarily creative! love this one!

sadly, probably for us both, we're in this together. Husker fans arm in arm. I even have a feeling we'll end up on the same side of most arguments should you continue to return.

Their take is complete horsesh##. I don't think they've watched a single game and they don't understand what the issues are behind our record. We've got the right attitude and work ethic from our freshman class. This program is going to get built one recruiting class at a time.

*hangs head*

well, guess it's back to the iowa board for me. after 1,475 posts I've finally been found out.

*kicks rocks*

well I can confirm you’re not an Iowa fan. We agreed on a lot of Husker stuff. But you have since then kind of kicked me to the curve (not exactly sure why, I never had any bones with you)...so I hesitate some posting this. But I’ll do it, you are most definitely a Husker fan that I tend to agree with.

exactly. We have to get through some of this mess first and once those sophomores and freshmen become juniors and seniors, that’s when we will see some big boy football. GBR

#4 hot seat according to who? Only people that have a say is the AD, the boosters, alumni which some are the same. Right now he is safe with both.
