Yes this season sucks and shouldn't have been like this. I trust Frost will get this fixed. We are a very young team. All this negativity is bringing me down.

The young/ talent issues is a horrible excuse. CU had a very young team with a year 1 HC, beat us. Purdue has a very young team beat us. There are plenty of examples of programs with young players that don't look this horrible. It is the coaches job to get kids to buy in and do what they are suppose to. So far the coaches can't, or don't know how to do. You can save this, and I hope it is used a year or 2 from now to rub in my face.... This program will not be that much better off with a whole team of Frost players. Nothing is going to change until assistance are changed and Frost makes adjustments.
Not really buying the young team argument. The right side of the offensive line consists of redshirt juniors, and can't move wicker furniture. Defense has a lot of game experience but still makes high school mistakes. Martinez is pretty young, but some of the blunders he made today just can't happen even if he was still a true freshman.
We had 7 returning starters on each side of the ball, and added a 5th-year grad transfer on each side of the ball. Not what I'd call a young team.
What i seen today is more then just youth... and this isn’t what coaches can fix... what I seen today was a bunch of kids that looked like they had no business on that football field, kids that were afraid of talking, kids taking horrible angles to the ball carrier, kids that were confusing today’s game with two hand touch... there WAS NO HEART on that field especially on defense... there was honestly only one person that I seen that belonged on that field and that was wan’del week in and week out he gives it his all... this is a team that has turned into the cheap date, just walks in and lays on its back... it has accepted loosing as the norm... that is beyond the coaches people... I will assure you it pains coach frost to see this in his team... I don’t know what it will take but we need a ton of work... and a complete mental overhaul crap clean house and bring in 80 freshman (sarcasm) but seriously we need kids that will not be afraid to run up and pop someone and drive through the tackle... warp up and hit
I remember several years (last century) when we graduated most of the starters and were better the next year. Much better. A lot of times if players are going to be good they are good young. A mediocre junior becoming a senior is not really anything to look forward to. Now if you have a great young team another year can be a wonderful thing. But another year of the same mediocre players doesn’t typical yield much if any improvement.
You do realize there has been zero improvement in 2 years. Look at K-State and Kansas. They both have lesser players than Nebraska but both would be favored to beat Nebraska today because they both have better coaches than Nebraska. That is a fact.

I would be hesitant to say many teams have lesser players than us at this point... were the kids higher ranked yes, and I’ll give you that, so in theory yes we should have better players... but what I seen is that none of those players that were high ranked panned out to be what they were supposed to be... we missed on an unusually high clip of players... our players are not better then a lot of teams...

A lot of truth there, anymore top flight kids unless OL have no interest in RS.
So play them early and often. If they don’t make the 3 deep by the end of year 2. They should see the writing and enter the portal or be graduating by the end of their JR year.
I agree, I can’t place what’s the problem imo there is still some cancer on this team that needs to graduate or leave. But I will say chin is lost needs to go. The big 10 is a different cat you have to have a solid defense none of this try and create turnovers and out score to opponent. Big 10 schools are fundamentally sound. They wait for you to make the mistake. And that’s where we’re at now.
I guess tell me why Chins needs to go. Honestly interested in your thoughts... Is it Chins? Is it the position coaches? Is it the players? All of the above?
I think a lot of people have a hard time with people being critical of Frost and his staff. I get the whole "be patient" thing, but if anyone as a fan says they are not disappointed with the record and how the team has looked the last two years they are lying.
Has anyone said they aren't disappointed? I haven't seen those.
It is more what to do going forward that is the divide. Some think that it is really harmful to keep the revolving doors of coaches.
Certainly everyone thinks there need to be changes.

Been off the Chin wagon for awhile. He needs to go. Having said that this is the first game that I actually question Frost and the play calling. For some reason he decided being cute was better than doing what Neb had done best all season. Hope this was a one time thing and Frost will go back to calling his game. If he thinks what he called against Purdue is the way to go he is not the right coach either. Chin and most of his assts on the D side of the ball need to be shown the door now!

Of course they would be better with that Roster. OSU is loaded with future NFL players. Ohio State has always gotten talent. Urban took it to another level and then the gift of immediate eligibility of that QB was incredible. Don't hold your breath for Frost to be able to lure in top 5-10 classes every year like OSU. Every team is on TV now and it's just a lot tougher to lure enough top kids to Nebraska IMO than it used to be when EVERYBODY looked forward to NU vs OU EVERY year. Times have changed.

The thing making it tougher is fielding a team that looks like Dogshit. Coaching staff needs to swallow their pride and play the guys that can win games. Oh, and they need to learn how to coach the kids

Frost needs to lure a top ten class at least every 3-4 years, then top 20 to fill the rest. The same teams that are on tv now were on tv 10-15 years ago. We watched a decade ago Nebraska against a NC contender in the Big 12 title game and the Huskers almost beat Texas.
If they slug around top 25 or below every year going forward, then nothing will change and eventually the next coach will be hired, Frost has 5 more years on his contract to turn Nebraska into a team that will compete and beat the best of the B1G. If not, his time will expire in Lincoln, hope he can get it done.

Some will disappear and move to a different team that is a struggle phase and troll their message boards. Some will act like they never had any doubts even though their posting history would show the opposite. Some will dissapear for a while and come back later.
I love following the details of a rebuild. It makes one really appreciate the end result of the climb and how special it is to live through it and can speak intelligently about it.
In 20 years there will be people asking how Frost turned Nebraska football around after the dumb percentage of the fanbase wanted to run him out of town after 20 games. The fanbase did not learn their lesson with Tom Osborne, Solich or Bo.
