Also schedule. Kind of like Minnesota now. They played some easy teams early and won some close game where they really didn’t look that good. But they won and the players started to believe and play with confidence. Believing and playing with confidence are huge in college football. That’s why coaches say these positive things that piss off some fans, they need the kids to believe and play with confidence.
He had many draft picks on that UCF team...they were in a BCS game two years before...we were literally one of the worst teams in college football two years ago...and then lost most of our players to attrition or transfer.
