VEDRAL looking DECISIVE and EXPLOSIVE

Tucking the ball and quickly getting upfield for crucial yards as opposed to lingering backwards and to the side while holding the ball like a loaf of bread.

Authoritatively pumping the ball and then rolling out.

THROWING THE BALL AWAY INSTEAD OF EATING A 5 YARD LOSS.

Delivering a huge clutch throw to help win the game.

These are things we have not been seeing from the QB position. The intangibles.

Vedral actually looked like a quarterback in control of his offense. Haven't seen that in a long time.

As if Martinez didn’t look tentative enough running the ball, with this ankle injury I suspect he will only be one dimensional the rest of the way.

We need to survive this next game and heal up during that bye week.

Adrian is definitely struggling, I’m not ready to hang him out to dry. Maybe it’s the sophomore jinx, maybe he’s trying to process to much during the play. We all saw his talent last year, he’s very gifted. I still think he gained to much weight, plus the coaches are giving him more than he can execute. And partly because his oline is trash including the tight end.

It is thoroughly bizarre how much AM has dropped off. He is a shell of what he was last year. Something has to have happened to him. Did he pick up a girlfriend since last year?

He certainly looked much more decisive than Martinez, the same thing we saw from the very limited time he played against Illinois. I like Martinez and think highly of him as a young man, but I believe Vedral will more consistently make our offense go.

Backups have to be given a chance to earn the starting job in my opinion. Barry Switzer used to tell QB Anthony Thompson you look good in practice but can you do when the stadium lights are on, in the game.

Maybe Martinez impresses our staff in practice, but maybe Vedral is the gamer of the two.

When you run tentative you get hurt, should be the message, hell Luke ran with more power on his one run!

Now imagine if Vedral didn’t have to chase bad snaps too?! He’d look like Martinez did as a freshman.

Loved seeing the pump fake then scanning the field and throwing back to his outlet.

Looked like a confident QB who was mentally there 100%.

The caveat being Vedral has at best a fringe D 1 throwing arm. Great athlete though.
Z. Taylor had a fringe D 1 arm as well. Nobody thinks Vedral has more physical gifts than AM, but knowing what you want to do and trusting yourself goes a long, long ways.

I like AM and think he will win big here. I also do not like the crap and negativity he takes. That being said, Noah was impressive today. He was poised and confident and has a good grasp of the offense.

He has quit stepping into his throws so they float or are in the dirt.

This is a mystery. Confidence in his offensive line and having to worry about the snap is a part of it. But he is not the same player he was last year. Noah’s ball has more on it than Adrian’s even thought I do think Adrian has the bigger arm.

Unless Martinez snaps out of his funk and returns to how he was last year, Vedral seems like.the better option. We know Martinez has the tools to be elite but 6 games in with no progress... Bench him until he can get back mentally

Noah looks fast...alot faster that AM. And he doesn't hesitate. He is our MacKenzie Milton and makes quick decisions. I expect him to win against MN. He's smart. If he goes down, I have complete trust in Luke to takeover and do the same.

I liked what I I saw out of Vedral. I’m just concerned that it’s October and 6 games in and we’re still having Oline, and snap issues. This is going to make it hard for any qb in there.

Vedral and Luke both looked more confident
Oh come on - I like McCaffrey a lot and have said that I think he will make a push for the starting job this spring. But today he was told to take one snap and run a QB dive. How did that make him look confident?

Zac Taylor was a WAY better thrower of the football than Vedral. I think we can win with Vedral but our best chance at being great is fixing Martinez once he’s healthy enough to play.

I don't think there is a way to fix Martinez in season. He's just lost it mentally and he's even lost a lot physically.

If he can be "fixed" it's too big of a task to do in season. This is something that can only be done in the off season, if it can even be done at all.

Zac was clutch 30 yards in. Accurate as hell and had no fear. His arm strength was mild and was his main issue. Well, being a statue made of lead as well. Loved that kids composure.

id Also add try the second string right offensive tackle, he possibly can’t be any worse that farniok. I swear he barely engages his defensive opponent

I think the biggest eye opener was the fact they both had the same exact throw to an open receiver running a wheel route. Martinez's was well short of the receiver compared to Vedral's hitting his receiver in the clutch. Both had good pockets, and one of those guys looked like a confident QB

I see it like this. Frost wants to run his system, and sometimes the best QB to run the system isn’t the 4 Star. I think Milton at UCF was a 2 star, and Coach Leach has made 2 star qbs look like Aaron Rodgers b/c they know his system.

Vedral knows this system like the back of his hand. I’d like to see him get a week with the starters and see if we can go into the bye week at 5-2. I fear that Minny is going to be a tougher game than any of us want to admit.

Sorry for the rambling. Needed 3 bourbons to calm my nerves from that game.

Vedral make a good play there, but Robinson also adjusted made a nice catch. Throwing the ball to Noa is like throwing passes at a tire swing, except the tire has better hands.

Maybe so, but Vedral actually hit the receiver he needed to hit when it counted the most. He was decisive, confident, and not afraid. The mental aspect of the position are every bit as important as the physical dimension.

The more I watch Adrian the more I think his true issue is that he is trying to hard to play the style of game that he shouldn’t be playing... I think he is trying too hard to be a pro QB, meaning pass first run second, that is causing him to try and stay back longer than he should trying to look for an open receiver. He needs to just go back to his style, he can do both he can run and he can pass, but he is more dangerous when he shows he is willing to run... that’s just my thoughts, I think he is trying to put too much on the tapes trying to show he is a pass first QB, but by him doing that he is just hurting his pro potential
