Im all about the process but I'm sorry, the kid is single handedly taking down our offense.

Frost can not and will not admit he is wrong for playing Jurgens at this point. He might end up being an All American but he can't even snap the ball right at this point.

I like the kids effort, but he’s to concerned about blocking. Is will farniok any better, his brother is a terrible right tackle

I said the same Baxter, worried about getting to block more than the snap. Needs to do 500 snaps a day, that should be automatic

Well, if all these reporters would just ask these questions to Scotts face, it totes would be better.

Bring in someone to teach him the right technique. It can't be that hard, there are thousands of centers in college and high school ball that can do it.

Jurgens getting all the playing time at center and Farniok doing the same at RT makes you shudder to think how bad the other options are.

I'm all for pulling him, if they can find a suitable replacement. That's a big if on this team. Quality depth is a major issue at nearly every position.

I somewhat blame the coaches for not going hard after a top juco center after they figured out bland was a bust
Well, they did. Bland was that guy, and he didn’t qualfy. Then they got the #1 juco center from Iowa Western who we got to walk on and is even worse.

Frost when asked a year or so ago about the use of consultants

"They pay us good money to coach," Frost said. "If we don't know what we're doing, then they probably need a different coach."

It's unfair to Jurgens and the team to have him playing before he's ready. Starting Jurgens was a miscalculation by Frost. He may be a great center someday but it's not going to be this year. IMO, he currently is the weakest link on the whole team (and that includes placekicker).

It was a blunder to start him at center so young and at a time when they don’t even have the line up and rolling. I think in the future our line play and talent will improve but right now they’re a mess and a freshman center with high snap problems is at the core of it all..

He’s the better run/pass blocker of all the trio. So, no he’s going to remain in this spot until he gets his snaps under control

I dont think pulling the plug on Jurgens just yet is the right call. Hes a true freshman and played TE in HS. I'd say give him 2-3 more games unless he makes any more big mistakes let him develop more. Dude could just needs to talk more reps in practice. The kid needs some time

I wasn't for blaming him for Ohio State but I would have understood if he got benched in this one with the game in the line.

You can't keep doing this and keep your job at some point.

The high snaps have thrown the timing off on a high percentage of plays this entire season. It's surprising to me that Adrian has caught as many as he has given they're all over the place. It's gotta get fixed, half the season is gone and it's still as bad as ever.

I know they love his potential but if he can't snap the ball, they really need to try someone else. These timing plays don't have a chance.

He is a redshirt freshman. He played TE last fall, but then switched to C for the spring

Ok, sounds like a plan to pull Jurgens. Which one of you on the board has eligibility left or do you know where the super secret cupboard is they are hiding a better center?

Ok this thread is confusing me because I thought all of NUs problems were Martinez...

I think you'll see Benhart play a lot at the end of the year at tackle.

My son and I have a solution for these high snaps. Why not rotate Jurgens 180 degrees and let him hike those high tight spirals down field and send all WR and RB deep for jump balls. We know he can throw it at least 50-60 yards.

When you have a former husker center on Husker extra saying that he could teach Steve Sipple how to snap properly in 10 minutes, I would say that there is a problem.

And how people can’t see how this could be a big part of AMs problems this season is beyond me.

Im all about the process but I'm sorry, the kid is single handedly taking down our offense.
He is and by not putting in the backup- whether he can block or not- falls on the coaches. That is high-school **** and apparently they will learn the hard way.

Go back and watch last year...our senior center also had a major problem with high snaps...people just ignored it because he was a team leader and was obviously the best. Cam is the best we have...the dropped snap today wasn't his fault...the rest are disruptive but not anymore than WRs running poor routes or rbs missing holes or cutback responsibilities...or wrs missing outside blocks...it is the most obvious to ignorant fans but the fact AM can't throw a ball with proper touch, or Noa can't get open, or Mo can't pass protect are all equally disruptive...we are a VERY thin team with almost no competition at this point...competition breeds detail and excellence...lets just crawl to 6 wins and call it a success.

Unfortunately, yes. I trust that he's playing only because option 2 is significantly worse.
