We are less than 24 hours away from my favorite day of the year. This game will be over by halftime. I think Nebraska wins this one handily 56-14.

Things I'm looking out for:

1.) Collective Line play on both sides of the ball

We've just been so bad for so long I want to see the O-line dominating people 5-10 yards down field and I want to see the D-Line throughly dominant the line of scrimmage and get consistent pressure on the QB. If we don't see improvement here we are going to have a long season in the Big Ten.

2.) Chemistry between Martinez and his WRs

I hope the loss of Stanley Morgan isn't as big as I think it is. With Spielman and Warner being the only wideouts that have contributed anything significant I want to see if Robinson, Noa, and the other new guys have good rapport with Martinez.

3.) LB Play

LB are a key to the 3-4 defense. We have an NFL guy in Mohamed Barry but at this point the rest of the positions are sort of unknowns. Caleb Tannor is first on the depth chart and I'll be interested in watching how he plays within the system. We've also heard alot about Colin Miller and Alex Davis taking steps forward in their development. Is it just hype or can these guys play?

4.) Cam Jurgens

Are we in trouble at center? Is he 100% healthy? Cam came back late in camp and with ease won the starting position from Farniok. Does that have more to do with his ability or our lack of depth? I'm excited to watch him show the world what Frost has seen and been glowing about in his press conferences.

5.) Final Thoughts

Whatever happens this year I want to see our boys play and stay hungry. I want them to day by day get better and better till they are the team that can't be beat and won't be beat! #GBR

If they get out of the teens before the fourth qtr I would be disappointed. I'm most interested in the defense clamping things down. Offense should not have a problem

I think it's a forgone we win, don't care much about trying to put a number on either team, what I do care about is coming out of that game 100% healthy!!! Especially our QB.

I’m sticking with my initial 49-17 pick. Now if it’s rainy and cooler like it sounds...we may see a 35-10 type game. Where we focus more on the run.

I'm not convinced our offense will be real sharp. Fortunately, we won't face too much resistance. 30-10.

Agree, I always get nervous when our coach says, "Our offense had problems moving the ball against our defense ." This is meant to show that our defense was great but past history would tell us differently.....I trust that the coaches know good offense when they see it but it must be hard when you haven't seen live football in 9 months to predict how good your team actually is...

South Alabama is one of the worst teams in div 1. 52-10. Most points scored early, give up point late. It’s week 1, so point spread doesn’t mean much, but I’m drinking the koolaid coming out of camp

South Alabama better watch out. Our defense is looking to earn credits towards a Blackshirt uniform game. This could get ugly!
