Has an NFL arm like Brook. Decent speed like a Turner Gill. Leadership and swagger of a Tommie Frazier. Toughness and smarts of a Scott Frost. Heisman ability like Crouch. NFL ability of a Vince Ferragamo but better. Will be NU's 1st ever 1st round draft pick as a QB. GBR

Yep. He’s the whole package real deal. IMO he has the potential, and is poised to be, the greatest Husker QB of all time.

I don't think he has the arm and accuracy of multiple QBs we've had play in the NFL over the years. Ferragamo was amazing. He also hasn't shown me yet the big game stones that Gill and Frazier had. TO's comments were meant to assess his potential. I will also add that TO told an acquaintance of mine after watching Zac Lee practice for several weeks, that he was going to be the next NU QB drafted. It MIGHT have happened if not for the arm injury and offensive changes, but you've got to prove it on the field and stay healthy. It will be fun to watch him play hopefully for a full 4 years.

He's good, but perhaps we should wait and see if he can win more than 4 games in a season before we anoint him the greatest QB in school history.

Who are the multiple QBs we have had play in the NFL with better arms and accuracy?.

It's amazing reading this board. Any positive spin put on the team or a player MUST be questioned.

Let's just keep it negative all the time that makes everyone be in a happier place I guess.

Do you think he would have had more than 4 wins last season if he had a Tommie or Frost Blackshirt top 5 D? Or maybe a monster pipeline with All Americans? How about an Ahman Green or LP? More than 4 wins? Not all on the QB. Lol.

He has all the potential to be the best ever. Just remember, those guys you are comparing him to were pretty darn good QBs and led Nebraska to the promised land.

So TO is a sunshine pumping, kook aid drinking Johnny Superfan? He needs to check himself until this guy proves something.

Ferragamo and Humm for 2. Bruce Mathison probably as well. Bruce's arm may not have been as purely strong as AM's. That's hard to tell now. Mathison started some games for Buffalo and I think was originally with the Chargers.

He's got a chance to go down as an all time great here at Nebraska. Hopefully his health and work ethic will allow that to happen. Regardless I enjoy watching him play more than any QB since Frazier.

He could still be the best and not win more than 9 because he doesn't have near the talent around him that Crouch, Gill, Frazier, or Frost had...those were complete teams that were top 5 teams the entire season. They weren't underdogs, or dark horses, they were dominant teams with a dominant system and dominant players. The qb had to be a manager in most cases, try not to throw stupid interceptions, hit wide open receivers, and get tough yards on 3rd and short. AM is asked to make plays when the oline breaks down, make NFL type throws to covered receivers, manage a complex offense where he knows more than anyone else. You guys can't forget the trepidation that we would feel in the 90s when a play action would leave a WR wide open and we couldn't rely on any of our Qbs to even hit them in stride. The skill gap between AM and any of the championship guys is already wide. The reality is we are not QB U, but we were smart and brought in athletes who were leaders who could manage a genius offense.

Watched the ucla cincy game last nite, AM has shown himself miles ahead of this guy
DTR has the same problem all of Chip's QB's have had. They can't make a downfield throw to save their lives and I include Mariota in that group. Luckily both Milton and Adrian haven't had that problem.

My favorite was the dime AM dropped in on JD.
He actually had several to JD.
First spring game, the one he dropped in to McQuitty that got called back in the spring game, like his third pass ever.
Also, he's bigger this year, and Verdu has said he has more zip as well.

Not luck...Coach V. focuses heavily on the mechanics of making not only standard downfield throws but weird off-balance, or cross-body throws. He actually seemed offended that people attribute Adrian's accuracy and ability to make NFL throws to Adrian's talent alone, when in actuality Coach V. has made Qbs better across the country for decades. I love the scientific nature of our staff, we have a mathematics and physics major, an oline specialist who focuses purely on the science of the position and a qb coach who is an expert when it comes to the biomechanics of throwing.

I don't think Osborne is wrong on this. Looks like a potential high NFL draft pick already, especially with the rise of QBs like Mahomes and Murray. As long as he stays healthy and continues to work on his game the sky is the limit.

Heh......exactly. Well stated sir. Lots of posters just don't get it.......AMart, TMart and others would kicked *** & take names "if" they had the defense & OLines the middle 90s had.

mmmmmm....we better slow the hype train a little bit and let the kid prove it on the field. I'm as guilty as the next guy looking through my rose colored lenses but yesterday was a stinker and probably completely knocked AM off of most watch lists.

Thread makes me chuckle...TO didn't say he was the best QB ever at Nebraska, simply that he has the best combination of skills. There is a difference in those two things
