I’d more then take him. I’m not sure how things have gone for him lately but Rivals has Missouri and Huskers as co-leaders...so that says something. Fingers crossed. I’m still a little lost why we didn’t take Noa Pola-Gates DT cousin last year. He wanted to be a Husker with his cousin and we backed off late. Now he’s on KSUcks roster...!
He had a weird recruitment, and there were some red flags. Ultimately the staff didn’t want him and that’s good enough for me.

Grades maybe? Pretty sure it was discussed, but I can’t remember. Wasn’t it the same thing with Terrel Clinkscales? K-State has some of the lowest academic standards in the country.
Ouch...agreed...things have definitely changed for him. I wonder if Frost backed off once Hutmacher committed? Maybe we are only taking one DT?
Now that you mentioned it, I think it was grades. We had everything all lined up and suddenly we canceled his official visit and then next thing we knew he was all KSUcks. Grades where the issue if I remember right.
This isn’t a shot at you, I’m just asking. Is that what your hoping for or is that something the staff has said? That they want to take 3 DTs this class when we are limited on numbers and we still need OLBs, ILBs and possibly another WR, DB or two and maybe another Olineman.

Just my opinion. And I'd like it if one of the three was a Juco. As good as our two new RB croots are I would be happier if we had given one of those scholarships to a DT. That said I have plenty of faith that Frost knows better than I do.
I also think that a lot of this season's recruiting is being banked on a strong start by the team. Who know we are in on now will change drastically for the better if all goes well the first four/five games.
Rogers, Wildeman, Alston, Newsome, Graham and Ty are all guys with four years left. Deontre and Damion have three. That’s 8 underclassmen.
Very good point. I think we could manage with just Hutmacher and try and focus on LBs, a DB or two and maybe another WR (like O Manning or D Watts).
I know. I just have a defensive turn of mind. Good DT's are harder to find than RBs IMO.
You can never have too many good defensive tackles. They are the hardest players to find.
We will definitely have to see which way Frost, Walters and Chin go. One thing that’s certain, they definitely want some LBs and a couple DBs in this class. After that...none of us have a clue how they will fill up the rest of the class.
We're going to have room for more than that. I can see 1 more DT, 3 or 4 lb's, 2 db's, 1 or 2 DE's, and 1 or 2 WR's.
And I don't care if o or d, it all starts with the line. If you don't have a line it's an uphill battle
