If he picks Huskers like we think he will...him and Morrison will give our Huskers two good RBs to go along with our 3 4 star RBs last year. Speed, speed, and more speed.

Great news for the Huskers to get their top two RB targets. Neither of them are top RB recruits in the ratings, but there are so many RBs that finding a good player who is a great fit is probably just as good.

We have 10 commitments and 7 are on the offensive side of the ball. So imho there is a need to pick up some defensive players, especially at LB and DB
I agree. Is it possible that it is easier for us to recruit offensive players because Frost’s system has such a great rep? Chinander’s defense does not have that same kind of publicity. Important to have a solid Fall on defense and to establish an identity for toughness.
Anyway... just a guess on my part

Could be. I’m not sure this defense will ever have the same publicity that frost’s offense has. The key to me on defense, is for the current players to play fast and somewhat “reckless”. I truly believe players love to play on a defense that is reactionary and it allows them to use their instincts. Which this defense can and should.

Only 3 defensive players is a concern heading into the season...

Kaden Johnson is a pretty big get for this defense staff if we could land him..
Most of the OLB offered have already committed some where else..

Excellent! Two nice running backs.
The average ypg on defense of the P5 teams last season averaged 289 yards, with the low being Michigan with 275 ypg, the high being 356 and Auburn.

Clemson gave up 292 yards, while Alabama gave up 320 ypg. Amazing how a 28 ypg difference on defense resulted in a rout by Clemson in the title game.;)

With Frost's scheme, there are going to be open running lanes to get to that second level. We need running backs that can make plays in the open field and really break open some big plays. Both of these running backs seem to fit that mold and I think they're better for this offense than a lot of the 4 star running backs that are out there.
