What will happen if he wins 9 is every kid who meets him will want to play for him.

He's that good.

I would say we have a great shot at winning 10 games. If we win 9 but still get to go to Indianapolis, I'll be happy with that, too.

Vegas has us at 8 to 8.5. Could Nebraska win 10? Yes, but everything would have to fall in the Husker favor in order for that to happen.

I feel as though we should all hope for 10 but if you are expecting 10 I am afraid you might end up being disappointed. 8-9 wins this year is what most believe the Huskers will end up with.

12 wins- Deep down we are all secretly hoping to see this. This would leave no doubt that Nebraska football is back and getting close to swinging with the heavy hitters of the country. Recruiting would be a cake walk, we would be the media darlings and similar to UCF only we would actually get respect.

11 wins- I don't see this happening. I think we need those recruiting flood gates to open first before we can get to this range, but you never know. If we can get past Ohio St early on and give a confidence boost, we could easily run the table and maybe have a hiccup game vs a team like, MN, Iowa, or Wisc.

10 wins- if 9 might get us the west 10 would for sure get us the west. While some think 10 is a pipe dream. When looking at our easy schedule. There is no reason to think it shouldn't be possible. Hitting 10 should really tell everyone around the country that Nebraska is on the way back. . This should open up the flood gates for recruiting and attention even more so. I could see us pulling in a top 10 class.

9 wins- getting to 9 would probably give us the West. This would be huge for confidence no only for players and coaches but for fans. I don't see anyone being disappointing with hitting 9 wins. This could put us in line for a ny6 bowl game. Also hitting this number should start drawing even more attention from national media and national recruits.

8 wins- In my opinion this is the magic number. I think we need to hit 8. It would at least tell me we are gaining ground and beating those teams we should beat. I would feel confident in the direction of the program.

7 wins- 7 should still be considered a fail, we have enough talent and we all believe the coaches are talented enough to at the very least get to 7 wins. However not the end of the world. We could still justify it and say, well we still have Riley players. We need another year in S&C. We at least gained significant ground over last year. But this turn around is going to take awhile.

6 wins- If we have 6 or anything under we have big problems in Huskerland. We have the talent to be better than this. 2 years in there is no reason to have 6 or less. There are other issues besides talent going on. Frost would probably need to take a look at coaching/ coaches, scheme in the BIG10, or full player buy in. Something would need to be adjusted.

I don’t think so.
  • South Alabama - Home - win
  • @CU new coach - Win
  • N Illinois - home - win
  • OSU - competitive game last year home field this year - but programs are at 2 different levels - loss
  • NW - new QB should have won last year - this year we win
  • @Minn - we scored fairly easily last year - win
  • Indiana - win
  • @Purdue - 50/50
  • Wisconsin at home - 50/50 I say we win one and lose one between Purdue and Wisconsin
  • @Maryland - win
  • Iowa at home - must win for Frost and crew especially considering the west will most likely be settled here - I say we win
record regular season 10-2 and a trip to the title game - not sure we can win it but I say we are in it

No my point is If they don’t win 10 games the rebuilding job will take NOT longer...

3 must win games winning the West..

NW, Wisconsin and Iowa. Win them 3 and Nebraska will have a 10-2 record...

you must admit this year with this schedule is a huge opportunity, that and its year 2 most coaches who bring a program back break out in year 2

I’m staying with my fail safe 8-4 prediction. But with our schedule and how the team has progressed last season and then into this year... we very well could hit 9-3 or 10-2. It’s more the achievable with our schedule and most experts see that and that’s why we are seeing our Huskers in the Top 25 lists. If we can hit any of those records (8-4, 9-3, or 10-2) then our Huskers should hit it off good in the recruiting area because Frost and Co can then show the recruits we are in on “See, we went 4-8 in year one but then we went 9-3 (or 8-4 or 10-2) in year two and we made huge strides...you can be a part of this climb back to the top and be something special”. Those 3 records could really sling shot us forward in recruiting in a HUGE way. Which leads to even more wins and possibly a BIG title down the road.
