As we see teams rise and fall. I sit here thinking it is only a matter of time before Alabama falls off. Clemson seems poised to make a run at the next dynasty. Who are some other teams you think could become the next 90s Nebraska, 00's USC, 2010's Alabama. Yes we all hope it is Nebraska. lol;)

No doubt a team from the south will take Bama's place. Then again, Bama might make the right hire after Sabin and continue to be the king.

Idk, dynasties are pretty rare. If three national championships make a dynasty then there have been a whoppin' three in the last 40 years. Clemson is close to being able to make that claim but not quite yet. In actually, we may never see what Nick Saban has done at Bama ever again.

a great year this year and recruiting will skyrocket. Frost will engineer the next dynasty during the next 5 year span

Not going to happen. At least not until they get into a P5. They will need to accomplish much more and for a longer stretch of time to even be considered into a p5. They might get to dynasty level someday down the road. It won't be in the next 10 or even 20 years.

That would be a rare occurrence if they did hire the right man after Saban. I’ve said for quite some time now that short of the money involved I feel for for the next sap to take the Alabama job. It’s going to be ugly for them.

Yeah, the odds of a team to hit 2 dynasty level coaches back to back is slim to none. I honestly can't think of a situation where it has happened. If it has happened it is well before my time.

I say Georgia is a solid pick here, hate to say possibly someone fixes MIA fla or maybe Free Seafood U. I disagree with the ATM theory with Houston and TCU gaining young eyes looking to play at a high level, LSU would be the more likely player in that area, IMO. I don't see anyone out West, but it's so weak that someone could rise up and be an annual player, unlikely they would do much damage deep though in the near term. Of course I am totally writing off the B1G East, as they haven't proven worthy of getting in the final 4 with competent components at a 50% rate, let alone dynasty level.

As soon as one of the Florida schools fixes itself, they will rise to dominance again. They are in the hottest of hot beds. FSU, Florida, Miami-- take your pick.

Miami won 4 national championships in 9 years under 3 different coaches from 1983-1991 (Schnellenberger, Johnson, Erickson).

Probably John McKay and John Robinson at USC in the 60's & 70's are close.

Iowa. That dynasty will never die.

It’s clearly Iowa Hawkeyes....they will be the next unbeatable Dynasty...just ask them. They will tell you. ;)

Kansas State. Supposedly their new coach is twice the coach Bill Snyder was.

I’d say no one until Saban retires. Bama and Clemson will stay on top. I think Texas A M or Texas and Oklahoma will continue to improve.

With the right coach Ohio St, Florida St, LSU, and USC could spring up.

Lord I hope to see Nebraska win one more natty before I die.

Personally, I think Bama's dominant run is over. They will still obviously be really good until Saban retires. But as far as unbeatable, it's over. It's Clemson's turn. Then, once Saban retires will be pivotal for Bama. If they somehow pull off the Dabo deal, Bama will come back up, and Clemson will take a nose dive over time. If not, Bama nose dives and Clemson becomes Bama for a few years. After that, in my completely unbiased opinion, it's either us or Florida believe it not. They're in a recruiting hot bed, and they had a solid 2018, so they're in a better spot right now than both Miami and FSU. I think they could get going and have another 2-3 year national relevance run. If it's us, this year determines all of that. If we have a great year, hopefully, then I think it happens in the next 2-3 years, due to recruiting. If we slip up, we miss the window and it'll be another 5-8 years due to recruiting from a less than stellar 2019, if that were to happen.

I don't know if this year is the end all be all, but I agree how we do this year is a pretty good indicator of the future and how quickly things could turn around. Right now recruits still remember Frost at UCF and what he accomplished there. He can blame last year on culture, conditioning and rebuild. If we have another crappy year all that UCF stuff and hype goes out the window. Recruit, and fans only buy into the hype for so long. At some point, the team has to prove it.
However if we can have a good team, win the west, maybe win the BIG10, get into the top 10 or 15, recruiting will get a bit easier and things will start to snowball for the better. Better recruits leads to better teams, better teams, leads to better recruits, wash, rinse, repeat. That is how dynasty's are built. Now granted this is all assuming Frost and Co are the real deal. Which I think we all assume he is.

They're 100% the real deal. I have no doubt about that. Like I've been saying for a while though, we have to win MORE to get the elite players in Lincoln. It's really that simple. We have some elite players, just not enough. We need more. Win 9+ games this year, boom, flood gates open with recruiting, it's the real deal, let's go. Win 8 games, some will jump on board and we might lose a few. Win less than 8, that'll be shocking in my opinion, and we'll be having this same conversation for another year or two. We'll have to keep developing from within and keep selling and proving things instead of the more elite recruits buying in.

Agree with that. And right now we have some leaning or thinking on us. If we can pull out a decent to good year and help everyone drop and forget that 4-8 season...it will help tons to get those guys to pull the trigger and we could see a few flip commitments to us. I have no worries about another 4-8 or 5-7 type season...so we should be fine.

If we have another 4-8 or 5-7 season we have bigger issue than just recruiting on our hands. You are right, I would be shocked if we see anything less that 7 or 8 wins.
