Gunnerson would have four stars and a lot more interest had he not missed his junior season. This kid is as "under the radar" as a recruit as you can get in this day and age. I put Blaise in the top five of must gets on our list of kids whom we have a realistic shot of signing. I hear that he did great last night at camp.

Corcoran Gunnerson and Watts have become good friends... Corcoran is doing his best to peer recruit... I think we end up with the trio as a package deal.

Only a 3* but watch this kid's moves at his size. He gets off the line extremely fast and has some lateral explosiveness as well. Could be a very underrated get from the 500-mile radius.
Why has he visited Iowa so much? Looks like he has visited there 5 times. Although looks like 4 of them were last year, only 1 this year. Only 3 times at Nebraska. 2 at Iowa state. Kid is from Iowa. Do we have a legit shot at getting him?

No clue, but the fact that he came to Nebraska on three different occasions suggests that we do have a shot. You would expect him to see the in-state schools on multiple occasions. When he goes to an out-of-state school several times, that’s not a bad sign.

Hawks have no shot here. From what I have heard, BG is a great kid and only visited Iowa out of respect. He is yours or ISU's.

And, the Hawks just got a verbal from a Minnesota kid yesterday, so that pretty much seals the deal that Iowa is out.

It may seem a bit odd that Iowa didn't recruit Blaise at all or barely. But I think it makes sense. If a kid has a bad injury and looks very likely to choose Iowa State over Iowa, why waste your time? Now, Chinander knew all about him and decided to go all out recruiting him so we'll see if that pays off. But all kidding aside, a staff cannot do a great job recruiting everyone. It's a scarcity issue.

Scuttlebutt out of Lindenwood was that Frost and staff weren't getting into St. Louis much. I think that's another example of this... if NU got early indications are that they don't have a shot at signing the top St. Louis kids, then it may be a better decision to spend more time elsewhere. I know this may sound like common sense, but not all staffs operate that way.
