Do you think Jahkeem Green can be part of the d-line rotation or potentially start this fall when he comes in this summer? He was supposed to go to an SEC team but chose us. He's talented so we'll see.

Hoping he has more athletic ability/quickness & speed, our current D line is big and strong enough but lacking in athletic ability.
yes.. you don't bring in a juco to warm the bench, but like everything, it depends on how a guy adjusts and does in fall camp. It's probably 50% odds and maybe not start, but would likely be in the rotation of playable depth.
Since he has 3 years to play 2, unless he’s a noticeable upgrade I imagine they’ll want to redshirt him. He’ll still have 4 games to play.
If he proves to be valuable enough then his two years will start now. And I’m ok with that meaning we just got a lot better.

Best case scenario for Jahkeem and NU is he plays in 4 games and sits the rest of the season. That would mean our current group is getting it done and Jahkeem can develop.
I always always think back to Suh. He played a few games his Frosh year but got injured and was granted a redshirt. That 5th year for Suh was LIFE CHANGING!!!
The extra year would be huge, but I think he sees the field this year. IMO we need to run more 4 man fronts this season given our current roster situation.
I am not sure that that is what they will decide to do, but I definitely understand and see the need.

Actually, you kind of have it pegged incorrectly. The Davis Twins and Ben Stille are all extremely athletic, but overmatched in defending the run. Without a true Nose in the middle of the 3-4, Nebraska was often forced to move a Davis Twin inside. This left the team exposed, and allowed teams to reach the second level with ease.
But the biggest addition will be Derrion Daniels along with better stamina from Damion Daniels. Green has the type of versatility where he can play inside and out along the D-line. For the first time in roughly 4 seasons, the Huskers will have a legit two deep of quality scholarship talent on along the defensive line.
The team lacks athleticism at the Outside LB position. In this scheme, that's where the pass rush originates. The Davis Twins and Stille will have more opportunities to disrupt the passer with added push inside. Mo Barry should also benefit from a bigger and stouter presence up the middle.
They haven't stopped the run vs. either of those teams the last two seasons because they lacked a true Nose. Shifting to that scheme without a Nose is like getting laid in a brothel without a condom.
Not to mention Casey Rogers, Tate and Ty Robinson.
