I hope there are no serious injuries. Every year, every team in America loses one or more players for the season due to injury during Spring or Fall practice. You hate to see it but it is a part of the game. Here's to good karma tomorrow....
In the old days you could just walk into the stadium on Saturdays and watch the scrimmages as long as you kept a low profile. When Solich started to struggle, they started locking gates and patrolling the yellow coats. Too bad, that was some fun stuff.
Yeah good point. But that was also before the advent of social media and everyone having recording devices. I would rather things be under wraps now and maybe that helps win a game or two later.
Enjoyed it, back then no problem watching a scrimmage and obviously today they would get more people attending then they would like being there..
Also much easier to buy a spring game ticket and just walk up to the ticket booth..

The kids in Lincoln don't even wear husker gear anymore and they are afraid of what? Let people watch your stuff and maybe the young fans in your own city will actually like your team. This hubris is a little annoying...they aren't protecting plays because everything will be on tape eventually, they don't have a depth chart, and the program has been trash for 20 years...and if people talk about the program it is getting views, attention, and likely more options with recruits.
I pretty much disagree with everything you just said. To each their own.
Back then, in order to record video, you needed a VHS tape recorder and it was obvious ,yet alone to distribute what video you got was very difficult. Now, everyone has a video recorder on them and in seconds, it can be distributed to masses. Besides, the over reactions and opinions of every dropped pass, fumble and comment of every player publicly would hurt the team.
Are you even a Husker fan?
I was thinking the exact same thing. For one, just because we haven’t been in the National title game in 20 years doesn’t make you a trash team....heck that’s every team the country minus two teams. We haven’t been top 10 but we are from “TRASH”. And pretty much all teams close the doors, not just us. So there is that too.
So I guess we’ll have to hope for a few video clips from the athletic department.
Solana-Beach-Husker doesn’t appear to be a Husker fan at all, maybe another Troll posing as a Husker fan (I know other fans only dream about being a Husker). Here is his recent posts for evidence.

No decent player wants to play at NU without being damaged goods or underrated.”

Yep, doesn’t really sound like a Husker fan to me. If so, he’s the most negative Husker fan I ever seen.

This is generally the moment where most sensible people put themselves in time out for awhile. At least until they stop referring to their own team as "trash".
I believe it was Solana who was guaranteeing us on here over a year ago that Scott Frost would never take the Nebraska job. His track record speaks for itself.
I recall someone saying that but couldn’t tell you who. That wouldn’t surprise me though..
Keep a low profile ? I remember walking in there on Saturdays taking a seat and enjoying the scrimmage.
Not only that but it was a good place for the co-eds to sun themselfs so you got to see some football and hot ladies at the same time.
