It's cool, my guy was wrong. I'll survive.
No worries mate. Appreciate what you bring to the board. Do you know for a fact that he was wrong or was it something that could be handled with rigid internal fixation allowing him to start workouts quickly?

I don't know that for sure, I'll ask around. But considering I heard 6 weeks recovery, I'll go with he was wrong.

Depending on where the injury was, with the right set of circumstances he could be cleared for light workouts 2 weeks after surgery. Guys have played 2 weeks after pins in fingers etc. Lots of variables.

@Tuco Salamanca was right about Jurgens getting injured. It was confirmed by a couple people on RSS that it happened a little over a month ago and was originally thought would be about a 6 week recovery time, but he came back sooner. So, it was not fake news.

Thank you for the back up. It didn't really make much sense for me to argue since I really didn't have "proof", other than a buddy telling me it was true.

I will still survive.

How dare you take the side of somebody trying to relay information to us. I don’t care if they’re were technically correct and the situation changed. I want to be outraged and run off potential channels of information.

Which wasn’t what I was doing in the OP and I don’t think anyone did either. But let’s talk about that instead of Cam Jurgens.

Hard to imagine they would take that risk with a broken bone, meaning a month is a very short time and this is just the first day of Spring Football. I would have guessed more caution would be exercised given recent history.

I take that as a great sign.

Just give it a day, I'm told his brittle bones will snap any second because he doesn't eat enough cheeseburgers and ice cream.
Dietary calcium intake does in fact strengthen bones. The orthopedist burned up 2 drill bits on my hip. Post-op he asked, "what the hell do you eat? I've never worked on bone that tough." I replied "lots of cheeseburgers and ice cream".

If it's healed, it's healed. 4 weeks is plenty of time for a complete callus to form on a fracture in a young guy.

Must be his vegan diet.
Fun facts. There are roughly 7.7 billion humans in the world each producing approximately .5L of gas per day consisting of primarily methane. That equals roughly 351 BILLION gallons of methane produced by humans in a year. Another fun fact is that due to the inefficiency of the human digestive tract at digesting vegetable matter, vegetarians produce more gas than non-vegetarians. And some people are worried about cows belching?

This. Especially since, according to the initial rumors, it was the same foot he had broken before. This is just Spring practice. No way they would jeopardize his availability for Fall camp by risking an even worse injury now. My very strong gut feeling is, therefore, that if he was injured, it was very minor.
