Word on the street is that Jurgens broke a bone in his foot again. Apparently will miss another 6 weeks. Same foot as last time, but this break was not as severe.
Just passing on what I heard, take it or leave it.
Where do you here stuff so quickly living in Houston..![]()
Might never play a down for us. We've had a lot of touted recruits never pan out for us.
Very unfortunate to say the least.
He broke a finger HS junior season, a leg HS senior season, a foot freshman year, and now a foot again. I think his beastliness is too great for his skeleton. Let's just calm down on the never play again BS. Did you see the part where Tuco said, "will miss another 6 weeks"?

Somebody just needs to clue the kid in that he needs to drink his milk. If nothing else, eat a couple of dishes of ice cream a day. It seems that every time I hear of somebody with multiple fractures like this it's somebody who either won't or can't drink milk or eat dairy products. He'll be fine.Step off the ledge, boys. Most times they can pop a screw in and he'll be back to form by the fall. If it had to happen at least it happened in February.
Broken finger is nothing, football is violent on the hands. Broken leg is terrible luck. Breaking the same foot twice raises and eyebrow.

Perhaps he’s vegan
It takes a while for bone and connective tissue to adapt to increasing loads. It's one of the reasons that young race horses tend to have way more problems with "breaking down" than older horses. Cam is a young "stud".Foot injuries are pretty common in distance runners, overuse (too much mileage for the runner) is usually the culprit. Would assume Cam is trying to bulk up, feet may not like the increased weight.
Yea, I was thinking that this might be a too much, too soon with him. Listed at 245 on his rivals page, now listed at 270 on the roster, probably has another 20 to go to have the kind of size to play. That's an entirely different person and it's easily another year before we see the kid on the field. Be smart, rehab the damn injury and figure out less injury risky ways for him to get his work done.It takes a while for bone and connective tissue to adapt to increasing loads. Former player of mine who played at Illinois broke the same bone twice in his foot. The second time they put a screw in, just like you said, and he never had issues again. He finished his career with Eastern Illinois and played about 5 years in the arena league.Step off the ledge, boys. Most times they can pop a screw in and he'll be back to form by the fall. shhhh, but, word on the street is he is a young backup center not our starting tight end, it's February and there's like 80 inches of snow out - bet we like he will survive this horrible ordeal.....
"Here" is where he "hears" it.Where do you here stuff so quickly living in Houston..![]()
I believe that was bill waltons down fall, he was a vegetarian had bad feet his nba careerVeganism is one of the most foolish dietary decisions one could ever make. Humans were not designed as strict vegetarians. We're omnivores and nutritionally one has to go to great lengths to even remotely attempt to ingest an adequate nutritional balance without consuming animal sources of nutrition.

If you think skinny and anemic is healthy, sure being a vegan is healthy. As a country our diet is terrible because most people including vegans aren't smart enough to eat enough of the right foods and McDonalds is just too easy and too tasty. The number 1 and 2 determiners of palatability for omnivores and carnivores are salt and fat. That kind of sums up the fast food diets of most Americans. But, IF you want to be a "healthy" vegan you had better have a masters degree in nutrition to try to make sure that you consume enough of the right vitamins, iron, essential amino acids and CALCIUM. I know more vegans than I care to admit to and every one of them is anemic, lethargic AND batsh## crazy....but I guess they probably have a lower cholesterol level than I do.You've been saying this crap for years. You couldn't be more biased or misinformed. Not sure which. I went and looked in my fridge and found this. Read third line from the bottom.
The only essential nutrient a vegan eating a balanced diet misses out on is vitamin B12.
You think the average vegan isn't far healthier than the average person who eats the standard American diet?

good for you. My cholesterol eating mass quantities of cheese, butter and red meat was "immaculate" too until I hit about 60. Now it's merely good. You do realize that running marathons probably has as much to do with your cholesterol as your diet right? BTW, you better make sure you're getting all of the essential amino acids your human body requires and can't manufacture on your own. Vitamin supplements won't do that for you.Being vegan doesn’t make one skinny and anemic. Eating a poor, unbalanced diet does. That’s like me saying eating the standard American diet makes one obese.
You do not need need a masters degree in nutrition to eat a well balanced vegan diet anymore than you need one to eat a well balanced standard diet. You need to be informed and watch what you eat. Is there a learning curve? Sure. There is with every nonstandard diet... The fact that you keep saying things like this only betrays your ignorance of the many sources of those nutrients. Did you see that my milk has more calcium than yours?
(If it is objected that eating a nonstandard diet requires reading a book or two, I’d concede the point. But every American would do well to read a book or two on nutrition because our diet sucks.)
As far as your vegan acquaintances are concerned, I don’t need to point out that the three or so people you know may not representative of the population. I’ve been a vegetarian for over 10 years and a vegan for the most part the last year and a half. That whole time I’ve been a distance runner and a marathoner. Not one bone issue. Not one bad health report. And yes, my cholesterol is immaculate.
I hope I don’t need to point out that vegans can take vitamin supplements. I take two daily. Maybe you can recommend some to those poor sickly vegans.

So back to Jurgens, I just read that he has broken bones in his feet twice, his ankle and his fibula. Also believe he had a broken finger or something on his hand.
We now take you back to the Vegan argument
