For a local college alternative, Wesleyan NCAA Div 3 basketball is exciting, would encourage fans to attend game tonight at Snyder Arena for the conference championship.
Wesleyan has been rated #1 all year since winning the national title last year.
Very exciting type of ball, what is considered as all or no position offense. All starters can play any position, good defense, constant movement.
With a win tonight they will most likely host a Div 3 tourney game starting next weekend.

I miss the days when the local channels used to televise local college BB. Kearney State college and Hastings college was always fun to watch. Too bad nobody picking up nebraska Wesleyan. That's good BB. Who cares if itsi div 3. Haven't watched them play but I will go out on a limb.....the t play solid defense, unselfish offense, well coached, disciplined AND no stupid gimmicks[/QUOTE]

Do you remember when Kearney st made that run in the late 1970s the lost in the national finals. They were entertaining to watch. Joe sips son Randy played on that team

I remember Tom Ritzdorf lighting it up in that tournament. I think he might have been MVP.

If I recall correctly, teams played five games in five days. Then when it got down to two teams, you got one night off before the final.
