There’s no shortage of folks who’ll tell you how it is regarding #Nebrasketball -where it’s been & where it’s going. Everyone has an opinion & that’s fine. I just wish I could share what I know & believe based on my experience. Can’t do it now for a # of reasons. May-B someday.
Well, Kent has seen more Nebraska basketball than any of us. I can still hear him yelling "Brian Banks dunked the basketball! Brian Banks dunked the basketball!" And I can still hear him whispering the final seven minutes of the game at Missouri when we knocked off the #1 team in the nation and the crowd got so quiet that Kent lowered his voice for his own safety.

It got so quiet because the only Husker fans in the crowd were a couple of Husker family members and ME. Fortunately the guys I was sitting with were good friends or they might have killed me.

People close to the situation often struggle to see things for what they really are. When companies are in trouble and reorganize they often bring in outside help for this very reason.
Pavelka sees very clearly the situation and no doubt has an idea where things are headed. I suspect he has an idea of who the next coach will be hence the comment about "where it's going".

I think in general he sees the players attitudes and how the coaches do their jobs.

I took it as he knows all the politics behind it all but can't share it due to his position. Probably not a good idea to tweet anything

Correct me if I'm missing something, but there's nothing that would prevent him from sharing anything positive or supportive of Miles and the program. So him saying he can't share what he knows means it's of a negative nature.

Or it could be something negative about the administration (not the coaches). I think that is more likely, as he has tweeted many positive things about Miles and his staff before.

That could be. Or maybe he like Miles and thinks there are some bad locker room guys on the team.

How delightfully cryptic.

Here's what we do know: It's been enough years to have created consistent improvement and the team is trending in the wrong direction. They peaked with a one-and-done surprise appearance in the tourney and haven't been back since.

Meaning they have failed to crack the Top 64 of college basketball.

I think his tweet is support of Tim Miles and the direction of the program. He posted this same exact message on facebook this morning and Tom Wald who was just recently with Kent at I believe the Nebraska Hall Of Fame ceremonies said he fully supported Miles and would send his kid to play for him without hesitation. Almost certainly they talked about what was going on.

Tim Miles has to be the most media connected coach in the history of Husker athletics. This guy gets puff piece after puff piece anytime he wants from Barfy and now Heady at the OWH. He has the radio announcers eating out of the palm of his hands. He gets national media to do interviews that will boost his profile for his next job. It goes to show there's a whole lot more to getting and keeping big time coaching gigs than X's and O's

And Miles has delivered one of the most remarkable turnaround jobs I've ever witnessed again this season, too bad was in the wrong direction.

Miles is in charge of talent but if you actually understand basketball you would see how poor of a team we have and how easily exploitable our weaknesses would be in conference play and if we had a few injuries to scorers. We have absolutely no shooting, it was apparent from game 1 that we had no chance unless we could hit the 3...

F$%& bunnies. They destroy our landscaping
I got a high power pellet rifle and picked them off. Unfortunately, due to natural selection, the ones smart enough to run while I was stalking them bred and now it is impossible to get a shot. They leave yellow urine spots on my pristine lawn.

I honestly can't tell by this tweet if he is supporting Miles or not, but my assumption is that he is supporting him. Guys like Kent usually become pretty good friends with the coaching staff because they talk to them pretty much every day. They travel with the team on road trips. A PBP guy like Kent isn't going to go scorched earth on these guys and make things awkward. The relationship they build with these guys really doesn't make them impartial to the situation.

It sounds like there's a lot of animosity between Miles and the administration. He was pissed he only got a one-year extension last year, and thinks it has hurt his ability to recruit.
