NW is not very good, though they are leading in Iowa City at the half. Bet Fran’s head is exploding in the locker room. They will beat Northwestern and lose the rest.
Have to be honest I am a little embarrassed by all the fair weather fans we have. Nebraska Basketball has huge hill to climb. Miles may not be the answer. Very true but in the meantime we owe it to those young men to still support them. Always asking these types of questions and blasting the coaches and the players for their part in all of this is not support IMO. Let me have it.
I get what you're saying, but this team has talent. They don't have the coaching to back it up and they are underachieving. Grossly underachieving.
Well congrats to the Hawkeye for a miracle comeback or condolences to the Cats for peeing down their leg - or some of both.NW is not very good, though they are leading in Iowa City at the half. Bet Fran’s head is exploding in the locker room.
Maybe a little bit, but I wouldn't say grossly. The team was playing well and with confidence early. But they are mentally fragile and not very deep. And so things went south after they failed to overcome some adversity. Now it's in a tailspin similar to when everybody on the football team knew that Riley was a goner.Did I grossly over-value the talent on this team? I really thought this was easily an NCAA tournament team. Is Nebraska’s talent level actually among the worst in the Big Ten?
The team just never had any depth, and that was showing even before Copeland went down. Harris getting sick was also a blow, since they sorely need some athleticism off the bench.Did I grossly over-value the talent on this team? I really thought this was easily an NCAA tournament team. Is Nebraska’s talent level actually among the worst in the Big Ten?

I tend to agree with this. They appear to have pretty good talent and an offense I just can’t understand. Defensively, they really look pretty good at times. Miles is unimpressive.I get what you're saying, but this team has talent. They don't have the coaching to back it up and they are underachieving. Grossly underachieving.

Attendance is not everything. If you want to think it is you are entitled to that thought process! To each their own!
Question the team effort and question the coaching that is fine. Laughing at them is something totally different and at the same time making fun of them. That is not being a supporter of the program IMO. Feel free to disagree but making fun of someone who disagrees with you is not showing much class either. But hey sometimes people just have to agree to disagree. I can do it without making sport of someone. Can you??

No different than Riley fb. Eventually people have had enough and a change needs to be madeHave to be honest I am a little embarrassed by all the fair weather fans we have. While I've never cared for his offensive philosophy, I've supported Miles up until recently. Now I just think the cumulative weight of the last couple of years is going to make it necessary to make a change. At the time, I dismissed the importance of losing 2 starters in Jacobsen and Morrow. In hindsight, losing those guys should have been a sign. They would be the team leaders right now on our team and we sorely miss that. Add to it the seemingly recurring theme of late season collapses and I don't know how one justifies keeping Miles. No different than Riley fb. We'll never be a bball power. And I'm ok with that.
I’m not asking to be a Basketball Power like we were for decades and decades in Football, I just want a teams that are above .500 every year and make the tournament more times than not..
Plenty of other schools accomplish this without the facilities we have invested in no reason why Nebraska can’t.

Really? Yawn..Exactly. Basically Nebraska basketball fans want to be Iowa football fans. We accept we will never be a juggernaut but want to be kept in a conversation that says "god they suck and always have"
Fair weather Nebrasketball fans? I am an old guy and can’t remember the fair weather. Please refresh my poor memory.Have to be honest I am a little embarrassed by all the fair weather fans we have. do you remember the former Norris high school and Nebraska Wesleyan basketball coach Jerry schummett or something like that, I always thought he'd be a dam good coach at Nebraska, he was a winner every place he coached, I just don't remember when happened to him after he left WesleyanWhile I've never cared for his offensive philosophy, I've supported Miles up until recently. Jerry Schmutte. He left NWU for Morningside and eventually became an AD. I believe he ended up being AD at Hastings College and retired a couple of years ago.do you remember the former Norris high school and Nebraska Wesleyan basketball coach Jerry schummett or something like that, I always thought he'd be a dam good coach at Nebraska, he was a winner every place he coached, I just don't remember when happened to him after he left Wesleyan
