Frank Robinson, one of my three favorite players ever, died yesterday...in 1965, my STUPID Reds traded him in what did not LOOK like a lopsided trade (ok, it really did) at the time...the main player they got back was Milt Pappas from the Orioles...Pappas very nearly reached a career achievement that very few pitchers ever did...what was it?

22 people have hurled a perfect game in the modern era....only 9 have done what Pappas just missed...

I believe Frank Robinson was roommates with a member of my church, Bob “Rocky” Johnson.
Rocky played in a lot of different places over the years and hit the first home run in the Washington Senators new stadium in 1962. He has a photo of himself with President Kennedy and VP Johnson looking on. Almost looks photoshopped, but it’s legit.
