He is rated a high 3 star. Why hasn't he had any official visits anywhere? Was his Nebraska official visit moved back to next weekend as a backup plan? Will it be cancelled if Nebraska lands Jordan and maybe another commit this week?

Not sure but I’m strongly predicting he’s N. I believe he’s a package deal with his cousin that is already on board. With good development he can be a beast in 2-3 years.

Why do you think he could be a beast? Just because of his size? That is no guarantee that a defensive lineman is any good. You have to have leverage, speed for a big guy, good hands, and athleticism. Hard to find all of those things in one guy, which is why good defensive lineman are the hardest things to find and recruit. I see no evidence that this kid is anything more than above average. Don’t get me wrong, I hope he commits to us because I share your hope that he could be developed into something special. But right now, it seems to me, all it is is a hope. He isn’t exactly a “beast” right now and who knows if he ever can be?

Damn so depressing.. I’m going to eat a box of Oreos after reading this.

I think he was very good as a Sophomore and people out west though he was going to develop into a beast. That is where he got his reputation and initial ranking. Since then he has been injured in both his Jr and Sr seasons, now a lot of people are wondering if it will ever happen for him, which his new rating reflects. I think the potential is still there, but he has missed a lot of time and development with these injuries.

From what I've read he is a project. He has talent. He has to earn the rest. His talent isn't so great he can throw his helmet on the field and excuse being dominated.

What I think happens is that Mao signs elsewhere. What I want to happen is to sign Mao.

I have a bad feeling about Jordan and TCU. He seemingly mentions them first in every interview I’ve read. He says it’s between TCU and Nebraska. Just amateur psychology type stuff

I don’t like that Parker is going to KU this weekend. He has a tight relationship with the coach who was recruiting him to Tech. As we know, that coach is now at Kansas.

Those are my top 3 left and it wouldn’t be a shock to me if we got shut out.

Doom & gloom!

Sadly, I think it's probable that we get shut out.

I don't like it, but I'll go with what you say because of precedence.

How many “last minute” verbal commitments have turned to be success? I wouldn’t want to burn these just for the sake of burning. Again, I fully trust our commander and chief Frost.

Mo Washington is doing alright

I'm going to be a severe homer right now.
I watched that kid in the after highschool bowl. I don't remember if it was the all American or army bowl. That kid was the best player on the field, not because he was the best player, but because he performed regardless. That kid will be bigger and better next year. As far as the above argument, I'm ambivalent.

It was the UnderArmour game and it was a preview of things to come, he is a special player.

He won MVP of that game for a reason..

I only partly agree. I think Jordan, Parker and Houston are very much 50/50 propositions, at this time, but I think MPM and Bivens are probably ours if we want them.

I think Parker and Bivens are in. The rest have already been agreed upon, by now. I think we'll be short of 30. Perhaps, Mao will land us at 29. I don't know about Starks.

Here is more amateur psychology for you. Intrusive thoughts, that is what you are having right now. You are having them because of Njoku's decision. It is most likely also tied to the fact that our past three coaches sucked at this finishing thing too!

Well that and the fact that Jordan is going to TCU and Mao isn't even visiting.

So now Frost sucks at finishing? Where is this coming from? We didn’t get Njoku, sounds like we won’t get Jordan... two guys we wanted, sure. But as I already said in another thread, we got Wandale, Ty Robinson, Gates, Henrich, McCaffrey, Benhart, etc., all of whom had offers from big time programs like Alabama, Michigan, Clemson, USC, and a host of other heavy hitters.

But yeah, these coaches can’t finish.

Let me suggest a different theory. Maybe they can finish, as evidenced by the names listed above. Maybe what you meant to say is that they can’t bat 1000. Then you’d be right.
