Agree. Don’t see a reason to worry about the offense unless AM....yea, I’m not going to jinx us. Defense will be the key to success in 2019.
Yes, that is the biggest "if" right now. If our D does not improve from last year we will not win the division. We will be better than last year, but D must improve.
I can think of 4. Wisconsin, Iowa, Purdue and northwestern for starters.
Why Purdue? They have the biggest question at QB over all the rest along with some key offense pieces like Knox and 3 offensive linemen minus Randall Moore.

Fair enough. Just pointing out a very obvious reason why “there is absolutely no reason we shouldn’t win the division “ is a pretty ridiculous comment. Now had he said, “there is absolutely no reason we shouldn’t be in the thick of things for the division this year,” I would agree 100%.
OK, but on your board some Iowa fans they think their the favorite because of Senior Stanley and finishing in the top 25.
Conference schedule has to be considered along with offensive and defensive players returning on both sides of the ball..
We’re getting accolades from sports outlets not just our fan base blowing smoke that think Nebraska will make a huge turnaround from 2018..

I also think you guys are going to make a huge turnaround this year. Nebraska is a legit contender for the division this year. Honestly, I think this is a good thing for the B1G and even better for the west.
To be honest, haven’t seen too many Iowa fans feeling we should be the favorite. However, I may have missed it as I don’t spend quite as much time there during the off-season. I think most of us feel the early departure of fant, hockenson, Nelson and Amani kind of takes us out of that spot. It never hurts to be returning your qb.
Anyway. Not trying to start trouble here.
I said it based on
1. Nebraska has the easiest conference schedule of the big west contenders
2. The Iowa, NW and Wisconsin games are all in Lincoln
3. Nebraska probably has the best player at the most important position on the field in the division.
4. If you believe you have a truly elite coach then given the above you should expect to be able to win one of the worst divisions in college football.
When you are afraid to set high expectations you become a program that gives its coach huge bonuses for winning 8 games

I have one handle and one only and this is it. The facts are that there are many husker fans that are needed over there to correct the many false narratives that seem to prevail. I discuss this with many other husker fans and they are trolling you with ease. The fact that two dbags over there think it’s always one guy is hilarious. Those two tried to bring their homeboard BS over to the college football board on rivals and got promptly b slapped back by their own fan base. Message board Iowa fans simply are not objective when it comes to the Nebraska football program.
I find it amusing that when the fact of an “easier” schedule is brought up to husker fans we say “thank goodness for that schedule, we can only play the teams on the schedule and if it’s perceived as easy, so be it.” Whereas Iowa fans are a bunch of whiny little ***ches when the Iowa schedule is ridiculed as weak.
Other fan bases are welcome here, but it would be nice if you brought an original thought with you, the Iowa homeboard narrative is not welcome.

They could've had me at QB last year and still would've beaten us. Our defense is terribad and until they prove that they have gotten better, Purdue should be favored against us.

But it is the "secure" people that come on here after a division loss and loss their effin minds because they could not possibly comprehend how the great nebraskie cornhuskers could lose to Purdue...I mean that would be impossible in the 90s and now look at how the world has fallen apart. We have won 8 games in the last two years...with our best win being against...the worst michigan state team in 10 years. Lets get to 6 wins before we worry about the division...lets hold an opponent under 30 points in a game, and lets learn how to return a punt...then we can talk division.
Or we don’t get to play, so we can worry about whatever we want. And I see no need to pander to the insecure Iowa trolls on the board, regardless of our record.
