The #7 ranked Huskers wrestlers take on #1 ranked Penn State starting at noon on Sunday. What say you, everyone?
I hope I’m wrong, but I think this one could be ugly for the Huskers. NU is probably only favored in 1 or 2 matches. Hopefully Berger vs Nolf will be a great matchup.

I think it is on Flowrestling. Not sure if you have to pay a subscription or not.I tend to agree. PSU is way above everyone else so far this year. There are a couple of teams that could challenge in a dual setting (Ohio State and Iowa), and then there is the rest of the top 10. Huskers need to win a couple of the weights with matchups of top 5 wrestlers - and avoid bonus point losses - to even have a chance (on paper....). Unfortunately not a televised event.
If you think the B1G is tough in BB this year, wrestling is even worse. Huskers are rated #7, but only the 6th best B1G team in the rankings (Intermat).

Finally a thread Iowa fan may actually be able to provide some valid input on and they’re nowhere to be found. Typical.
Howd Maryland go?

Huskers up 3-0. Moisey gets 6-1 decision at 126. PSU announcer extremely happy that they did not give up bonus points.
PSU up 4-3. Get a major decision at 133.
PSU up 7-3. Redd loses late by a 5-4 score. Got 2 stalling calls on him and essentially cost him the match. That would have been a good toss-up match to win. Have I said how much I hate the stalling calls this year?
Had to go do some things. PSU now up 19-3, and have won a total of 6 matches in a row. Several of them looked to be pretty close matches, as the last 5 have been won by decision.
Venz wins 7-1 to close the gap to 19-6 PSU. Only 2 matches left.
Cloud looking pretty good to predict a 26-6 score.
Schultz battles Nickal to the end, arguably one of the best wrestlers in the country, but loses 8-6. PSU now up 22-6 with HWT match remaining. If PSU wins by major decision, Cloud should change his screen name to Vicki Vallencourt.
Quite a few close matches, which PSU won by 1-3 points. A couple of those go the Huskers way, it might have been the upset of the year.
