At Rutgers. I am telling you that not only does the familiar hoop and backdrop matter in the B1G but I think the officiating is different for a road team. I don't think the players are intimidated as much as the officials are.64-61..
Big upset in the B1G..

IF you had just told me the 3 point percentage of that Iowa game I would have told you we got beat by 20. It's amazing we were anywhere near being in that game. No doubt teams shoot better at familiar hoops usually, but man it seems like we and most teams get beat on on the road. Yeah the total fouls may end up similar but what it takes to draw a foul appears to me to be different for road versus home teams. JMHO. Refs are humans. They hear the crowd.Home teams always shoot better in their own arena.
Iowa has missed a boat load of shots tonight, plus they have missed a lot of FT when last Sunday they were 29-32 against us..
Not a lot of good news for NU Hoops lately. Clemson and Creighton lose tonight (I didn’t see it but it looks like they let one get away tonight). Two straight losses for both of them. Seton Hall wins tonight and remains a quality win.
Creighton kicked away a sure win by failing to touch an inbounds pass with a three point lead and .8 seconds left. Martin Krampelj is a good player but he is the clubhouse leader for college basketball’s Bonehead Play of the Year. Fun game to watch but what a way to lose. Not a lot of good news for NU Hoops lately. Clemson and Creighton lose tonight (I didn’t see it but it looks like they let one get away tonight). I saw that on the news last night. I've seen some pretty bad ways to blow a game before, but that may be about the worst. Marquette needed nothing short of a miracle to win that game in that situation and they got it.Creighton kicked away a sure win by failing to touch an inbounds pass with a three point lead and .8 seconds left. Yeah the only thing dumber than Krampelj pulling his hands back and letting the ball sail out of bounds was when the play-by-play guy announced, "Nobody touched it, so it's still Creighton's ball and they'll have to inbound it again."I saw that on the news last night. And this guy gets paid to broadcast basketball?
No. The game was on CBS Sports Network, so I don't even know who the announcers were. But suffice it to say they were terrible.Nick Bahe?
Second time in as many weeks spoke too soon.
