Any chance Rafdael or Allen could make the switch to Tackle? Both have the frame 6-7/8 and are around 250. I just dont know if either has the toughness and strength to make the shift. Strength coach could have them at 300 easy

I would rather them catch touchdown passes in the endzone but that is just me.
We’re suddenly loaded with tackle bodies moving forward but I understand there’s a gap in age/development. I think after moving Jurgens it’d be unlikely another TE would move, but I suppose anything could happen. I like the twin towers catching TDs also
I have said this a lot, but I am praying to see a package with Allen (6'8), Rafedael (6'7) and now Hickman (6'6) all split out and force corners to cover them. Especially in a goal-line/redzone situation.
Why do we think there's a TE jam? I don't think we have too many. Some offensive sets use more than one TE. What's needed IMO is better utilization of the TE position. Hopefully Martinez will learn to utilize them better in his second year.
No, Keep them both at TE with there height it can become difficult to defend them inside the red Zone..
lol..of course, but if your 3rd on the depth chart to players your age chances are thats not gonna happen..especially when frost is bringing in more athletic pass catchers behind you
Rafdal sits 3rd on depth chart and legrone and hickman are more athletic pass catchers coming up behind them. Frost UCF and Oregon use of the tight end doesnt call for 6 tight ends.
Well that is what they have is 6 TE..There is no rule that says Hickman can’t be a wide receiver is there..
We need a big bodied receiver anyway..
Just judging by Frost/Oregon/UFC use of the tight end position. He doesnt need 6 tight ends. The kids he is recruiting are more pass catcthing/athletic tight ends(legrone, hickman).
I’m thinking that he may be more willing to look to the TE’s this year. With Morgan running routes, it was easier for him to look down field. Maybe with the ? at deep threat, many more targets will be 5 - 15 yards.
This offense can be so damn good if TE and check downs start getting utilized.
It’s been too long since we’ve excelled at using the TEs. This could be a breakout year.
