Wow 1st year at a power 5 school that only won 4 games the year before and Mullins goes from 4 wins to 10 wins and a NY6 bowl win. In the best conference in America no less.
How does Harbaugh keep getting these higher rated recruits to come to Michigan and a top 10 recruiting class if they keep losing the big games and bowl games. The media hyped up Shea Patterson saying he was suppose to save Harbaugh and take them to the college football playoffs and yet we see them losing this game against Florida in the Peach Bowl.
It would frost me. Getting blown out people will say it wouldn't have made any difference. But a few plays blew this game. So to me that was a huge difference maker
Will be interesting to see how the pollsters handle this. Do they say Michigan would have been better with the players that sat out? I say no.
Florida had a lot of talent it’s not a surprise they went 9-3, but also keep in mind they lost to Kentucky and Mizzou..
Yes he maximized the talent he has ... not many 1st year staffs are able to do that .. obviously was able to get buy from the moment he took over
3rd year in a row Harbaugh and Michigan have lost their last 2 games of the year, last year they lost 3 in a row..
Florida is nothing that wonderful. South Carolina, third in their division, got pounded 28-0 today by a Virginia team that lost to Indiana and Georgia Tech (recently trounced by Minnesota). Embarrassing performances by both Purdue and Michigan. The B1G's good bowl performance last year had made a little dent in the notion of SEC invincibility, but these two games will feed right back into it. And Ohio State and Penn State better perform well or they can bury that big, bad B1G East Division crap.

so 4 or 5 guys from Michigan sat out, to prepare for NFL draft, guess that wasn't # 7 as advertised on the marquee. Yet, Brock tells it as if Florida are world beaters now, gotta sell it for the company i guess. Fact is Michigan quit this season after OSU, time for another vacation trip abroad coach? China, Antarctica or Siberia, so many choices!
Yeah, missing 3-4 NFL quality players matters a lot and it showed. I can’t say Michigan wins that game if they played but it certainly didn’t do them any favors to not have them.
I think Purdue converted a 3rd and 30 through the air on us this season...

Michigan's ranking was#7 before the players decided to do what was best for them. I hope the polls reflect the *** whooping they got and not their#7 ranking. A lot of games to be played, but probably should end up in the 15 area at best

So if any Ozigbo or Stanley would have said they werent playing in the Iowa game as it was a meaningless game, you wouldnt have had a problem with it? Dont say it wasnt meaningless as that game meant nothing. Im guessing any Husker fan that dont have a problem skipping bowl games would have a problem with this senario.
Mullens was a good coach at Miss. State and the cupboard at Florida wasn't exactly bare.

As a fan of course I want my team to be at full strength, duh, but I ain't mad at anyone who sits a meaningless bowl game out, even our players, and we all know it's gonna happen. I stand by my statement it's a meaningless game and nobody outside of those two fan bases cares about it, and won't remember who won or lost, including many fans of those teams. Playoff wiped out any importance the bowls used to have, and people want to up it to 8 teams? Talk about short term thinkers.
So according to you they're already meaningless games and upping the playoff to eight teams is going to hurt things? Since it's impossible to make something that's meaningless more meaningless I don't follow that logic. In any given year, no more than about six of these 38 bowls games mean anything, and that was true before they instituted the four-team playoff. Playing for a championship actually does mean something. At the FCS, Division II and Division III levels, every postseason game is important because they're playing for the divisional championship. If you don't want playoffs and still want meaning, eliminate about 30 of these 38 bowls and go back to the days when only top teams went to bowls and the rest stayed home.
