So can Tech beat Duke tonight?

No way. Lol.

Yeah, they can. Duke has been feasting on teams by getting turnovers and fast break points. The youngsters still are not too good in the half court offense. But Tech leads the country in limiting fast break points, at about 6 per game. So it will be interesting to see if Duke can get the fast break machine rolling. If they can't, Tech could win.

It was interesting in the Duke game the other night they were talking about the Tech matchup and someone pointed out that Tech's only really good win was over Nebraska.

Think there were more charges in that game than any game I've ever watched. Gross offensive game. Cannot wait to watch Zion in the pros.

He's a beast and clearly the most athletic player when he steps onto the court, but Barrett might be the better overall player. This Duke team is fun to watch, hope they win it all (if the Huskers can't).

TT up 5 in the second half. I wonder if Duke fans will take to their fan boards saying Coach K is in over his head.
Is this where you pick yet another argument with NU basketball critics and then piss your pants about why they keep showing up here?

Made me laugh!
LOLOL me too!!

I missed the part about pissing my pants though. Help me out on that one.

I don’t care if people complain about the basketball team. So long as it includes support and positivity along the way. Otherwise if you find yourself rushing to the board at the first sign of something bad happening, I’d recommend for your own sanity to just stop watching and stop calling oneself a fan. It is a miserable way to live a life.

It’s the same post served up 10,000 times:

“Look at meeeeeeee! I’ve taken another ever-so-clever jab at all the inferior fans!”
Or the same one I’ve seen 10,000 times by the same 3-5 of you. “Jeez we should be good but we’ve seen this before”

It’s tiring to keep up with the negative nancies on this board. Being a fan is supposed to be fun when your team is ranked and looking like they are firmly in position to make noise. But you wouldn’t know it based on the 3-5 of you.

So you tell me who is saying “LOOK AT MEEEEE”.

Also I think you’re the only one who keeps bringing up this inferior word. Do you have an inferiority complex? I just think life must be ****** to only point out negatives when this team is playing arguably as well as ever in the history of Nebraska basketball.

I haven’t posted a negative word about Tim Miles all season - go back and look if you don’t believe me.

But I’ll ask again- if you find those people who bag on Miles sooooo exasperating, why are you picking fights with them over and over and over and over again, except for the reasons I stated?

So in essence, why am I posting on a fan board? Is that your question?

I’ll attempt to answer what I think is your question.

This team is fun to watch. Athletically they are as talented as any squad at Nebraska I’ve seen. This should be a special time when people are building momentum with the fans. It should also be fun for fans to be living the highest potential Husker team in history.

The negative 5 or so have an agenda, it seems, to point out every negative thing they can about the coach. I believe that spreading negativity can take away something powerful that’s happening with this team, so I am now countering with my message of positivity.

I also believe that fans play a role in the big picture. When everyone is waiting for something bad to happen, the players feel it and then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Alternatively, when everyone starts to expect greatness and has high hopes, I also believe the team can achieve in historical levels this season. Yes it can hurt when you expect greatness and have it ripped away. So what.

We all agree, if something great doesn’t happen when this season is all said and done, Miles will be gone. So in the meantime, I’m going to cheer like hell to support and hopefully witness history with this team.

Talent wise I think this team is capable of a South Carolina type run in the dance. Wouldn’t that be incredible?

I’m also still hoping you can explain the pissing my pants part. It went over my head if that was meant to demonstrate something in particular that I’ve done.

No, my question is very clearly stated and does not require any spin from you: If you find Miles’s critics so absolutely exasperating, why do you go so far out of your way to pick arguments with them?

Well, I’m kind of confused... I don’t think that miles is an elite coach but I DO see that we are 9-2 which is good but I also predicted correctly that we would lose at Minny which we did because we always lose these inexplicable games but I DO hope to be proven wrong... after all this is the core group that beat Michigan soundly last year but then lost in the NIT first round. So I hope for best....

Excuse me? @Minnesota is not an inexplicable game. The mindset that @Minnesota is like losing to to Little sister of the Poor is why your opinions hold little weight on what is actually happening.

1. Did you forget that Minnesota is also 9-2
2. Did you forget that the local media was already talking about the Creighton game prior to the Minnesota game?
3. Did you not see the raw emotion that was exuding from Coach Pitino and his team after that game?
4. Amir Coffey could of hit a basket sitting on the toilet that game.

They were not going to lose that game for multiple reasons, but the biggest factors in that loss was the raw emotion of McBrayer losing his mom and the Creighton game being that same weekend. Don't down play a loss to a good team on the road that is ranked 12th in the RPI and 51st in the NET rankings... and all the things I mentioned above

Nobody can call Minnesota a bad loss here in mid December. After playing half your conference games than you can make a judgment on whether it was a bad loss or not..

Minnesota could be in the top 5 in the confernce you just never know till we play more games..

Wow... did not mean to touch such a nerve, but did apparently....
The inexplicable refers to the fact that a Miles team seems to find a way to lose a game it has no business losing... you can can set your iwatch by it... we had just gotten ranked... played well so far... time to lay an egg... regardless of emotion or whatever excuse people trot out, it’s a loss that could( or SHOULD, I’m thinking in your mind) have been a win. He wins done games he shouldn’t ... he loses some he shouldn’t...

But now I’m crushed for the day that no one will take my opinions seriously.....

I still think you’re an okayish guy even if you are from York.
