Michigan might have the most victories all time, but Bama is the best program in the history of D-1. And coming up on 70 bowl games, yikes!

Keep in mind the Big 10 only allowed 1 team to go to a bowl game until 1975..

Now that is on the Big 10 for making stupid rules like that of course they were behind in not wanting to play for the National Championship in the BCS and Bowl Alliance too, they felt it was a bigger deal to play in the Rose Bowl instead of having a team play for the National title..

True about the B1G bowl situation, and while I believe historically Bama is the best program, it's not by a lot, this latest surge has put them there, for now.;)

If you look at history Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas have been on some sort of probation multiple times. So I can't really give credit to known cheaters

Nebraska and Tennessee last played in a bowl against each other in 2016 and both have missed out playing in a bowl the past 2 seasons.

While Nebraska has had 3 losing season in 12 years, Tennessee has had 7 losing seasons in 12 years..

USC is the other blueblood that is not going bowling this year which is unusual for them and had not missed back to back bowl games since 1999 and 2000 of course they missed back to back years in 2010 and 2011 because of being on probation..

How about Florida State missing one? They had a nice run going there. I remember when they were the up and coming program, beat Nebraska in 1980 in a shocker. Times have changed.

Yes FSU missed out playing in a bowl after 36 consecutive years but since they had to forfeit games in 2007 and 2008 the NCAA still considers Nebraska having the longest consecutive streak at 35 dispite the Seminoles actually playing in 36 consective bowl games..
