He isn't fast for a WR, maybe he will be fast for an OLB.
This and Jojo moving to OLB and having a 4 star like Tannor developing help explain why Guy Thomas bounced.
That is interesting news on McGriff not Thomas that isn’t a big surprise...

I like Hickman better as a TE than a DE. McGriff to OLB is...interesting. Feels like they're gonna throw a whole lot of spaghetti at that OLB wall and see what sticks.
I'll be surprised if McGriff sticks around after spring. I thought when we signed up him he was kind of a reach, and not a great fit for this offense. I don't really see him fitting into this defense, either.

We need a TE threat that causes havoc stretching the field, Hickman may get his chance but we are loaded at TE with 3 good players..
He was committed to Frost at UCF also. Flipped to Nebraska. So obviously he likes something about him.
If you don't see the fluidity in those dance moves, I don't know what else to tell you...
Hickman is such a better defensive player than offense. It’s really not even close. Hands are not great.
From watching some of his high school games, he doesn’t seem like he goes 100%on Defense.
You might be on to something with his hands but he has tremendous ability and has the potential for TE..
Hopefully he can contribute at OLB - lord knows we need help - but typically it isn’t a good sign when a player who really wasn’t that highly recruited at his primary position moves to another position - particular on the on opposite side of the ball. We are still scrambling to fill roster holes.

You just made me think of Junior Miller. Ahhhhh. Those were the (tight end) days!
I like seeing them be creative. McGriff played DE in HS and when you watch his film, he has some nasty crack-back blocks as a WR.. so he's not afraid of contact.
He has good quickness and while not fast, that might be what we want for a pass-rushing 3-4 LB

I thought Junior Miller was a better all around TE. Mitchell was a better receiving TE. Both were great, great college TE's
I agree. I don’t think he was going to see much time on the offensive side of the ball. It’s better to make this move early in their career.
