I'm struggling to see how next year will be so much better for you guys. I'm thinking probably better than 4-8 (lol), but I'm not seeing the talent on the lines. You're still going to get pushed around. 6-6 seems about right. The type of transformation you need (line play) typically doesn't happen within a couple of years in the big ten. I predict Frost tops out at a 9-3 season within a few years, which, all things considered, you guys should be ecstatic about.

You win on a last second field goal at home against Frost's first team, when we didn't have arguably our best receiver on the field. Consider yourself lucky he was injured, because with both Spielman and Morgan on the field, we win this game by 10+. It just pisses me off that he was injured, because your defensive backfield would have looked like keystone cops trying to cover both of them.

You're so oblivious to what is coming, which is going to make this even more hilarious next year and beyond. Iowa fans will whine about Ferentz like never before.

I wish I could link how many times I have been told that. You guys are much improved and going to get better, I would simply ask you to consider 2 things. Iowa is moving into its 3rd year as a new offense and will also get better, there is now film on the Scott frost nebraska offense.
New offense? sure.

Here's the thing guys......the comment was intended to be back-handed or else he wouldn't say something as ridiculous as "never thought I'd see the day". I mean, just look at the NFL line players Iowa has produced versus Nebraska over, say, the last 10 years. You could probably even go back 15 to 20 years to your heyday.

But I actually love the comment because again, he just shows he doesn't get it in the way that Osborne got it. Can't get out of his own way and I think the smart money is on him flaming out in a pity party in a few years.
you continually sound like you are deeply insecure about iowa (no history) and an inferiority self concept--go get some counseling for everyone's benefit and cry over on your own board and to your mother--she may care, we don't and that goes for all you imbeciles out wandering about over here get some kind of life for yourselves---your are really sad and pitiful

Denial man. We also had hurt football players who didnt play after 11 games of football.........................

One could argue if you guys were more competitive we play it safe and go all vanilla KF and kick the field goal and then it is likely you dont go for 2. Nebraska through a couple haymakers and landed them yesterday and that isnt a diss, your coach did what he had to do to win.

All that pushing and shoving and you still needed a last second FG to win. This against a new coaching staff, a true freshman QB, new offensive system, our biggest threat on the sidelines, a senior class who has had 3 different head coaches, 4 different DC’s and some have had 5 different position coaches. Something here tells me that you should be over on the Iowa board where you belong discussing Iowa’s issues rather than Nebraska.

There has always been film on his offense. He ran it up at Oregon and two years at UCF. This offense is no different.

Frost hasn't been around the Nebraska program for 20 years. That's what he was referring to - back when he played here, we were bigger and stronger than everyone, and he never thought he'd see the day where a mediocre program like Iowa would have a better strength program.

Back in the day, even our QBs were built like linebackers.

wasn't intended that way at all, you imbecile, it was talking about the NU's historical line strength of NU football. But it's obvious iowans just can't grasp the concept of history because they just don't have any

Yeah, we all heard about junior running the Patriots offense..
That just seems like your salty. You are attempting to diminish Iowa by making a straw man about us claiming to Be like the Patriots(which I have done none of). The Brian Ferentz offense is the Brian ferentz Offense. The BF offense is much different than the Greg Davis offense though for sure.

These postgame comments regarding not thinking he'd see the day when Iowa's lines are are better than Nebraska's. Surely he's aware of what's happened 5 of the last 6 years when the games haven't even really been close (yesterday obviously shouldn't have been as close as it was the way Iowa controlled the LOS). I figured he learned his lesson with the 'winnable game' comment against Purdue but I guess not. Just makes me wonder if he'll ever put it all together when he's still prone to taking somewhat of a victim stance. Can't imagine a guy like Osborne ever saying such self-defeating nonsense, but I guess their intention is to placate the fan base, while in reality it just adds fuel to the fire for Ferentz and other teams.

Also, LOL at #25 for you guys. Seems like the perfect representative for your football culture. Talks **** all game (usually about 10 yards downfield after an Iowa run), then's responsible for giving up the game-winning play. Just the perfect model of a football culture that lacks any self-awareness.

Thanks for the humor....funny post.

Defensive improvement could completely change the ball control aspect. Iowa’s offense isn’t unstoppable if you can field an average defense rather than one of the worst in college football.

my heartfelt sympathies, and you come on here for what reason? because you have some kind of insecurity about being an imbecile out wandering about so you feel the NEED to come over here and puff your puny chest so you can feel better about yourself along with you imbecile colleagues?

We had the game completely under control before said haymakers and if KF thought you guys had a pulse he would have force BF to play turtle and take the points only to have spread it further, dont forget that was a 10 point swing. Speaking of stupid, how was your headache this morning?

It's that 12 years in the middle part. Some of my best friends are skers. (I took one to the game yesterday) I enjoy the banter, I want the rivalry, I want the west to come down to us. We are all midwesterners do most ideologies are similar. Etc.
I wonder if you will continue posting on here if Nebraska starts beating Iowa regularly, which I think will happen.

1. If you call someone an imbecile you better be spotless on the grammer on a message board.

2. See the answer to the other guy. (If anyone is showing signs of insecurity it is you.)

At the end of the day BIG, BAD, STRONG, Iowa gained a whole 19 freakin yards more than Nebraska.

At the end of the day your identity is offense and ours is defense. Poor analogy warning : our left hand out punched your right. We are showing improvement in our weakness, it will be fun/interesting to see nebraska get better at D to get better as a whole.
