I love how one can assume, 12 months out, that you'll win a game easily, or win the game at all. There is literally an infinite amount of things that could happen between now and then.
However, it was a good game. Stupid fake FG by Iowa (which everyone would praise if we made it) in the first half. Ballsy fake FG by Frost in the 2nd. Way to stressful of a game for me, glad we snuck out a W.

I’ll be honest, both fakes weren’t a good idea.
Martinez is bigger than most running backs. I love when people say this. He may get hurt...it won’t be because he’s a Qb. The kid is huge.
The defense has got to get a lot better before Nebraska can count on anything next year.

I like fans taht will have meaningful conversations about games and outcomes, not just stomp around and act like it's a guarantee that next year Nebby wins the West, stomps Iowa, etc., which a lot of people on here do.

I think Nebraska is a bowl team next year, above that, who knows yet.

A bowl team as in 6-6? Come on people-look at the schedule. If you like what is going on with this team then show some freakin' confidence. 6-6 would be a major disappointment for next year with that schedule.
Come on man, this "guys fought hard" is getting old. It means nothing. We need start getting these wins. It may very well come next year, but this D needs to drastically improve if much is going to change next year. If you are happy with a fought hard type of team. Iowa is who you should be rooting for.
Oh, I think they are bowling next year as well. Started slow out of the gate this year and that won't happen next year. Again, fun game, Iowa sucks against mobile QB's and RPO teams, and it showed mightily in the second half.

Stevie Wonder could see the difference in the direction of our program. Were a 4 win team that lost by a FG. Iowa has beaten us when are program has been it's worse , I feel good about next year. We find a defense and we will flip the script hard and fast.
D is going to be the big IF factor next year. So far they haven't proved they can do it this year.
I agree with you. The only thing I am sure of is that the total domination of Nebraska is over with Riley. But there is no way that we go on some multi year domination. Will be hard fought games from here on out with wins both ways. Congrats on the W today.

What grade are your wideouts? I know Spielman was out, but how old is he and Morgan? I'd love it if they were seniors....
Why? Iowa did everything they could to lose that game, refs missed a HUGE 4th down hold that led to a TD the next play for Nebraska, and Iowa still won.
