Nebraska settled down and gave themselves a chance, it looked for awhile like they were going to get beat badly. Second and third quarters needed a bit more starch in the defense and another score or two on offense. Iowa was able to find a way to win.

Nebraska made some questionable decisions as well, as most teams do. The INT in the 4th qtr really hurt Nebraska, Martinez needed a high and outside throw there.

Second lowest point total given up to Iowa in the last six years. First year. Coming off a historically bad year. Installing a new system. We were CLEARLY overmatched in the trenches. Yeah, chin sucks.

Well, figure it out. If it's going to continue to be close between us and Iowa-either we're going to have to have reached our upper limit and not get any better, or Iowa is going to have to be better in the future. So which is it? This isn't that difficult, it has to be one or the other.
And? We should be excited we sucked a little less on defense this year compared to years past?
Iowa was a horrible team on the ground this year. Huskers gave up 260 plus yards on the ground which was Iowa best performance of the year.

If you don’t understand the importance of player development and time spent in system in terms of success then i don’t know how to help you. Look at Michigan. They just figured it out in year 4! Can’t fix the fact that we don’t have the personel to run a 3-4 in one year! Kids need time to develop physically and mentally in a system and that isn’t a one year project.

Michigan won ten games and had a very good defense in year 1 of Harbaugh lol.
Proof will be in the pudding. It’s going to take a lot of offense for us to win a championship as long as Chinander is here I’m afraid. We need more talent no doubt. But I’m not impressed thus far.
